Your team vs The Sharks

We need points. Getting into an arm wrestle with teams is not our strength given the current roster.

I would replace Staines with Lobb to give a legitimate 5th tackle scoring option in the red zone. He has shown he is a beast in the air.

Seyfarth is not up to it. We need to find a solution at lock. Pole was doing a great job there and not sure why we moved him. Pole to lock.

Klemmer backs into the defence and gets put on his back every time. Early in the game when PTB speed is needed, he falls short. I'd run with Twal to start and Klemmer off the bench.

Sad to say that's the worse centre pairing in the NRL. Then there's Staines and Tupou who play like they don't give a shit. Bula and Galvin put a smile on my face, Sezer a grin - but overall I'm crying inside.....

You simply can’t have a whole unit within a team (the outside backs in our case) who the opposition don’t have to fear or gameplan for. They can basically spend their whole week focused on nullifying Api, Bula and our young playmaker. It’s the biggest problem on Benji’s plate in my opinion.

What other option do we have when we have our three first choice centres out injured ?
No team in the NRL would have anyone well known to select in this scenario.

Casey is on a T&T contract so can’t be picked until R10. Only Dev players can be promoted from R1 under new rules.

Are you sure ?
I thought a statement was released in the off season advising both Development Players and T&T Contracted Players were now eligible from Round 1 ?

Yeah actually Round 11.

Reported in a lot of news sites this info:

Train and trial players earn $1200 per week.

They will pocket $3000 per first grade game they play, however they’re ineligible to be picked until round 11 — unless they win NRL approval.

There is no cap on the amount of train and trial contracts clubs give. Some are just weeks long, others months and some a full season.

Nah, it's only Development Players who are now eligible from the start of the year.

T&T still eligible from Round 11 onwards.

EDIT: @BlackWhiteGold beat me to it.

Given the injuries and lack of depth I expect Staines and Tupou get a reprieve. Let's see if Benji is true to his word and selects based on merit - if Sullivan is a reserve and Seyfath starts I guess not.

Watching the KOE repeat on Kayo....

Tony Sukkar has an engine. And is built ready for NRL. I've said it before, we can't fast-track the young players fast enough.

I think I had Lualili'i in my team for this week- I'd put Sukkar in instead.

No doubt Bula, Galvin, Pole and the Fainu brothers are serous talents. I know there are wraps on Feldy, Lobb etc. My concern is that, possibly after another spoon this year and a further poor year in 2025, they may feel 'held back' here therefore having diminished capacity to realise their full potential. The offers from the successful clubs will come and they rightfully move on. I hope I'm wrong. I hope I'm right that these kids will be future stars but I'm not confident that we will witness their greatness in Tigers colours.
