We don’t know both sides…don’t care so long as have $
only care about the W, let others worry.
shouldn’t even rate a mention in the media but hey it’s wt and clicks..

FAB is welcome to stay, I think this is just a convenient excuse...

The more I have thought about the article the more I have to agree that it was an excuse for this mob to bail on their sponsorship.

Looking at the two quotes from each side and taking them on face value (as where the article comes from says that it has probably been twisted) the FAB guy has blown up about the conversation and despite Richo saying he won't go ahead with it after the negative response, FAB have used it to walk away and probably save money (who knows how strongly they are actually going behind the scenes financially) or as they were getting extra favours behind the scenes under the old reigme and now have been cut off.

All seems to point to the FAB guy having a dummy spit and coming up with an excuse to get out of the sponsorship over being actually offended or treated badly, while also looking for some publicity at the same time (again they are not a well known company, especially when compared to Allied Express, and now their name is in a major paper and all over the web).

And should Allied already expressing interest in being back on the jersey, I'd say that the spaces left blank by FAB will be replaced very quickly. If not fully by them, but by someone else, Richo has business ties, and having a new group in charge with the signs of a potential bright future (even with the recent 2 spoons) I think a fair few companies will be willing to step in to put their names on the jersey (be it this year, or next, when the big one almost certainly becomes available).

Allied approached the club offering to pay more then what Fab Logistics were paying so Richo went back to them to see if they’d match the offer but Fabry wasn’t happy & spat the dummy so Richo did the deal with allied. Truth is Pascoe was overselling how good of a financial position the club is in & the club needs all the profits it can get. It’s a business at the end of the day.

Still can't believe you got Luai to sign your hat after his presser announcing he was coming, that was epic.
Yeah it was a fun day. I’m still dining out on that one, I think Mrs BF has just about heard that story one too many times. It gets the big eye roll 🙄. I also back it up with the Tigers will be back and all that talk. 😁

Im here online on a Sunday, Dont tell me Im not a hardcore Fan

Give me a REASON to be a financial member again.
We need your support more than ever right now my Tiger brother. I know it’s been hard watching the last couple of years (decade). But we’re trying to turn the ship, and we need as many hands on deck as possible. A true diehard supporter like yourself is the very type of supporter we can’t loose, and if we have, then we’re wholeheartedly sorry for that, but we need you back asap. We need you back walking round town, tall and proud with your members hat on. Blocking all the potshots from punters, and yelling Go Tigers to all your fellow hat wearing members. Now you don’t need to be a member to be a diehard supporter, and you are testament to that, but didn’t you feel good when you were out and about, and come across another Tigers Bro, and you were able to say “Yes I am a member of my beloved mighty Tigers, how about you?”
Well I’d love it if you were able to say that again.
I’ll leave it with ya, it’s your hard earned, and we probably don’t deserve it, but we’d love to have you back just the same.

So how’d I go Sparto?
It gave me goosebumps writing some of that, and that is just off the top of my head. Give me some time and I could probably come up with some BS, but I think that was from the ticka.
Still luv ya Tigpies!!!

Your 💯 right.

I am willing to contribute if I know that they are not simply lining their own pockets.

The lies around the membership numbers leaves me vindicated yet very sad.

I will never leave the Tigers, sadly 4 of my 5 kids have.

I hope we start winning soon before it's totally irreversible l.

That’s another thing the last decade has cost us; the kids. My family were Magpies, and you just did not go for anyone else, or else. You don’t go against the family, and Nana would see to that. But our next gen are all over the shop. They know the family team is the Tigers, but most have their own team. It’s sad. That’s why when someone like yourself is saying your not keen to member up, it worries me bcoz we are the diehards and even some of us are questioning how much our support is costing us. For people like you and me it’s probably not about the money, but the time and emotional investment and that investment has become like an emotional anchor. If we the diehards are feeling this way then what chance are we of getting the support of this new gen?

Knowing Pascoe it was probably only ever a verbal
agreement, and we only every invoiced Fab peridiodicaly
and @ different amounts. What a loser talking 2 Buzz
A proper fan or supporter would not be airing their grievances to the old Buzzard.

I tend to think that Richo's side of the story is believable and that Fabri is siding with the old regime and looking for an excuse to get out and is trying to discredit the current management in the process.

I thought that FAB were only sleeve sponsors and was surprised about the mention of back of jersey sponsorship unless that was part of some future sponsorship deal that has not yet started up.

Yeah back of jersey comment was a surprise to me too... Must've been a future move.
We have PlayUp on there currently tho probably room for more under the number.. Some clubs have two on the back but not the same as.the sleeve sponsor

Sounds like the issue with the meeting was it had poor communication and at least one party didn’t think the matter was resolved or maybe buzz just left that part out

I am willing to back Richo over the Buzzard or Fabri at this stage unless someone can prove Richo's side of the story to be incorrect.

I can understand how Fabri could very well be upset by the Allied proposal, but Allied have been a sponsor in the past and who is to say that they may not have been dealt with unfairly by Pascoe or Lee when the Fabri deal was done and now with a change of management, feel that this is a chance to come back on board.

Whatever the real situation is, I guess we will never know for sure, but things are rarely as straight forward as they seem to be on the surface and anything that the Buzzard has to say should definitely be taken with a grain of salt.

Have to agree with Tucker about being unhappy with Richo's comments about not talking to non members but it is really not too far removed from some of Lee's previous comments and these types of comments are probably the type of thing you may expect to hear from other CEO's and club managers, not just ours, although I haven't heard any other Club CEO's say it.

I have made up my mind that I won't renew my membership this year for the 1st time in many years and will not do so until I feel that they deserve to have my monetary contribution.

I will still support the club, but as always reserve the right to be critical of it when criticism is deserved, now as a self funded retiree I am finding the current financial pressures to be quite testing and so after many years of pain and suffering supporting this club, and prior to that Balmain, I have to carefully consider where my money goes and I won't be paying until I feel I am getting value for my money.

Hank I hear those last two paragraphs, and I to in the past, have not renewed due to financial reasons, mainly the yearly price rises a few years back. I rang to discuss my disappointment in yet another price hike and it fell on deaf ears, so I did not renew for a couple of years. During that time they would send marketing emails trying to sell me a membership. I hadn’t heard from them in a while and got another email, slightly different but with the same intention. So I replied to that email and said if you want me back then the least you could do is give me a call to find out why. Well quicker than a bunny rabbit in spring time a young bloke was on the line asking what the issue was and how we could fix it. I told him they keep raising the membership and the minister for finance and fashion had bought it up during question time. He said they had the same complaint from others and could assure me that the price had gone down by a few dollars and would stay at that rate for the next 3 years. I signed up and have ever since.
Hopefully something similar happens for you.
It saddens me to see so many passionate members questioning their membership for our club, I understand though.

I’d say Richardson too smart to lose a major sponsor without having another one ready to move in. Look for Allied Express announcement in coming days.
And as for Brydens, same scenario, don’t leave yourself financially vulnerable without at least having some alternative organisations.
Like a lot of other things only time will tell.

FAB were on both sleeves but only a few months later upgraded their sponsorship to also include back. A sweet deal if you ask me, considering Brydens deal?

I haven't read the whole thread, could anyone link me to an article or provide a summary?

Front of shirt sponsor is worth a fortune in our team as the players spend a lot of time standing under their own posts with the camera pointed directly at them.

Now I understand Lee’s strategic plan. All makes sense now 😂
