I don’t really care who benji picks , because the result will be the same if we take 5 hit ups and then kick , we need to play football, the teams that won this weekend played footy combined with tough defence, if benji hasn’t got our team doing the same we will get smashed

Interesting. Would be shocked not to see Sezer for the season opener but excited for the likes of Sullivan and Galvin if true.

It would be absolutely appalling man management to throw a kid who's last competitive match was for the Aussie schoolboys v PNG straight into the team's first NRL match of the season, especially with no-one senior to guide him.

If he's at 14 then ok, but he should definitely not be starting.
 
Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall is preparing to blood local junior Lachlan Galvin in the club’s season opener Canberra.

Galvin, who is still only 18, is expected to make his NRL debut on the weekend after impressing in the trials, coming off the bench against St George Illawarra.

There had been speculation halfback Aidan Sezer was struggling with an injury but it’s expected the veteran playmaker will also be named on Tuesday.

With new recruit Jayden Sullivan also in the mix for a spot in the halves, Galvin is likely to be named in the squad with the view he’ll receive a call-up for Saturday’s clash with the Raiders.

Centre Justin Olam picked up a knee injury in the final trial but is also expected to be cleared to take the field.

They had 2 fit 3 in 2 positions, hence the opposed
training with Sezer. Stretch Api out 4 the full 80, need
points. I don't think Sezer is injured, he starts 4 sure

Totally agree, this young man will be destroyed if he is rushed in early. Hasn't even played KOE cup, it could be the end of what may have been a strong career, complete bone head move to throw him in.
 
Galvin maybe named but at best he plays 14. Not too many surprises from Benji this week.
Interesting choice will be at 13 whether Benji sticks with Seyfarth.
Sam Fainu off the bench but not Sione yet. AJ may possibly still make the 17.
My choice would be Twal starting and Klem off the bench with Pole at 13. Api to play 80 if he can.
IMO Bench against Raiders should be Klem, Sam F, AJ and Seyfarth. Galvin plays KOE cup for this week.

Need to absorb the Raiders power game & then kick the fight out of them by turning them around and starting deep.

Sezar is the best equipped kicker in the squad for that.

Not picking Sezer is insanity. Cant see it happening.
