TEAM LIST Round 3 vs. Sharks

Team List
The pack has to be much better Stefano, Klemmer, Bateman, Papalli, Twal. That’s a good pack with experience they need to aim up as a pack. Pole and Sam Fainu go harder than veterans.
I disagree. I think it’s one of the worst packs in the comp, if not the worst. On recent form (not name or historical form) Bateman is one of the worst starting 34 second rowers in the comp. Papali’i would be around the middle of the 34, perhaps a bit lower than middle. Klemmer would be in the bottom quartile of starting props. Slow with no power/impact. Stefano is middle of the road when he can be bothered. Twal is an adequate bench player but you can only carry one of his type of player (whereas I see Twal, Seyfarth, and Klemmer as the same type of player - tall, lanky, and therefore lacking power). Pole and Faniu show promise.

When you factor in what our pack is being paid, the value is appalling (performance for cost) and must be the worst in the comp. You can find multiple players around the league for half the price of what the players in our pack get paid and who perform the same or better than the players in our pack. Other than Pole and Faniu, I’d be happy for any of our pack to leave.

Papalli was close to the best second rower in the game at Parra. Klemmer was a solid forward at the Knights. Bateman is not close to the worst backrower out there.

The way they are playing you are correct but it’s not a talent issue.

Agree with most of what you say, hence why I prefaced my comments with “on recent form” and seems like you agree judging by your comments.

I am not bullish on Bateman. Very undersized for the modern game with a lot of miles in the legs. I hope he proves me wrong.

Damn you guys get worked up. Why so serious?

Sharks have us outmatched in just about every position. I am expecting another drubbing. Hynes will run circles around us like he usually does. Probably a few soft tries to guys like Rudolf and Talakai. I would be very surprised if we concede less than 30 points.
I remember the good ole days when the Tigers beat the teams they shouldn’t and lost to the teams they should beat. I’m channeling those days…..

I think Bud is a handy 14 but the other pair of plod brothers, that was our last administration’s final slap of the fans nuts before getting the bullet.
Who does the run-arounds if they're not on field?

I suspect Benji has written off our chances v Sharks.
I have. This won't produce our 2nd win out of 12 against them.

So he wants to give Sullivan another chance to show his stuff. Which means he'll come on when the game is out of reach. Which could be just after half time

Sezer at 7 and Olam in for Toa instantly makes us look more solid

That's nonsense Rudy. Think he wants bud to come
on & make a difference somewhere maybe in the
3rd quarter of the game. BIg parochial crowd, gonna
be a good tussle. Olam & Sezer, big ins, will be close

When was the last time Naden produced said x-factor? I think you need to show it more regularly than Santa Claus visits for it to be considered x-factor.

Same time last year in the indigenous V all stars
game then had a heap of injuries & 2 surgeries l8r.
I expect him 2 contribute 4 us soon, he's got it...

Hard to argue with any of that - glad it’s starting to become apparent…

Also hard to argue that our best pack was well towelled up by a team who’s pack most would consider middle or the road… certainly outside the top 5

The side instantly looks more likely with Sezer and Pole starting and Olam back. Hope Olam and Pole make immediate impact with their strength and power. A bit of pressure off Galvin with Sezer starting so he will go well again. Just need Staines and Tupou to look semi interested and Sefarth to show a bit of mongrel and we may give it a red hot crack.
Ànd Fainu coming off the bench

Honestly that pack should be crushing it, if only they played up to their talent. It’s a real shit that we haven’t seen the best of the likes of Paps, Bateman, Stef and Klemmer, just like so many of the good players we’ve picked up in the past.
They come here with so much promise, yet they fail to deliver…

Looking forward to Olam stamping his authority out there.

Hes a decent chunk of a guy, not adverse to hurting opposition backs.

Melbourne had him signed for 3 extra years, before the falling out.
