Re: dally m awards

The Dally Ms use to be run by the telegraph. The NRL took over a year or two ago and cleaned up a rule of the rules to eliminate bias. It's still just one voter per game though right? Very subjective. Every game has multiple media and others watching. Poll 5 or 10 of them and get a consensus Even i...

Dodgy and bad TV. Compared to the Brownlow it's an embarrassment.
Why do you say this? I’ve never watched Brownlow’s so am just interested
Well whereas the Brownlows are slick, well produced, lean on tradition and build suspense, the Dally Ms are none of those.

Re: Balmain v Raiders ‘89 grand final

Harrigan cost us the game when he pinged Bruce McGuire, the call should have gone the other way. Mick Neill’s Stumble, Juniors dropped ball and Benny’s field goal were other factors. It was a funny game in the sense, the Raiders played better in the 1st half yet we were well in front on the score b...

McQueen is clearly not in Ivan's plans and he knows it. If he gets an offer he's basically free to go.

Re: Cleary vs Paul Crawley

So the exchange was just on NRL360 now. Not a huge amount in it. Lots of chat as about it now. According to Buzz Gould went to Wayne Beavis last Monday and said Griffin is out and is to be replaced by Cleary. So do we believe Gus? If so, then it would only be due diligence to sound out the potentia...

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

This story is looking like a Tarantino film with so many perspectives on the same story. Now the Ivan version. Ivan goes to a casual coffee with his old mate O'Neil at Penrith. Dave is shooting the breeze about the future at Penrith "Would you ever come back Ivan?" "Yeah Dave I would... but I've got...

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

His take on the initial meeting with Penrith was interesting. According to IC:

They brought up the coaching future at Penrith. He reminded them he had a contract at WT and that was it. He was surprised when Griffin got the elbow.

So... no contract, no expression of interest in 2019.
