Re: Wests Tigers strengthen position in Macarthur region..

For all you pro Balmain whingers - the original agreement when the joint venture started was that Wests and Balmain would maintain a team in the highest comp under NRL. Sheens destroyed that agreement when he convinced the board that all the Wests State Cup players should be included wit h BRET to ...

Re: Wests Tigers strengthen position in Macarthur region..

Can I ask our Macarthur friends if the actual mascot will give you more incentive to follow a team or not? I'm not originally from either of our founding regions so am somewhat impartial but I just can't see how having two different identities within the same club as being of any real benefit to an...

Re: Addo Carr signs with Storm...

The story I heard from multiple reliable sources is that in 2015 JAC was told by the Storm they wanted him but wouldnt play him in first grade in 2016. They suggested he get a 1 year contract elsewhere and they would seek to sign him in 2017. He never had any intention of staying with us for more th...

Re: Corey Thompson is #OnTheBus in 2018

It's the Tigers official twitter account. Unlikely to spread misinformation about themselves you'd think. I think this is a reference to the fact that the club already announced it. In response to Geo, my guess is the club is simply trying to keep fans excited in the off-season by talking up the ne...

MCK was having one of his best games for us until that moment. It was a stupid moment. Until then, I was confident we could go hold out and win.

Re: Player and Team stats from tonight

Twal has been getting around 40 minutes per game, a bit down tonight but Woods played plenty. Not sure if he needed to as Twal and Ava didn't get a lot. Tonight showed that Sue doesn't have the same impact on the edge as he does in the middle. The more I see of Marsters, the more I see him as one o...

Re: WESTS Tigers Team V Roosters...

Felise had one ordinary game this year and a couple of decent ones. Given the game time he was getting and that he coming onto a side that was being badly beaten, he has done okay.

He is a first grader and I would rather we develop him then pick a player who is unlikely to here next year.

It's not like they could keep it a secret
I understand they told Reynolds from the beginning they were looking at bringing Benji back. The club and Benji were in discussions for a long time.

Re: Gareth Ellis

Thanks mate.

A champion of the club and part of probably the best squad assembled for the Wests Tigers (even taking into account the 2005 premiership winning side).

I suggest you wouldnt be able to find a Tigers fan with a single bad word about Gaz and that is a rarity amongst our fans.

Re: James Graham

If you asked me 12 months ago, the answer would have been a resounding yes. But Graham this year is nowhere near the player he was. At his age, players don't tend to get better.

Now, I would only be prepared to take him if the Dogs are bearing a significant portion of his salary.

Re: 3,2,1...

I dont know about the 3,2,1...but two players i have expressed previous reservations about are turning me around the past month. Lolohea and Marsters i an warming too. Marsters is a great example of a guy who is just a footballer. You would never pin him as a first grade centre given the lateral sp...

Re: Player and team stats from today

We had two backrowers playing 80 tonight and Matty E playing 64. Im not sure that balance is right.

The missed tackles from MCK and Taylor probably had a lot to do with fatigue.

surprised with twals numbers tbh thought he did better
Nah seems right to me. A lot less hit ups from Alex tonight. A big portion of his stint on the field was when Manly was dominating, makes a difference to the numbers.

Are people seriously having a go at the club for signing second tier players? Yep next year lets not field an under 20s side or State cup side. We will just have 17 players and, if injuries happen, us forum members can fill in. :crazy :crazy

Re: Elijah Taylor option in club favour

We are getting there, Taylor just needs more help so he's not making 40-50 tackles per game. Hooth and Twal are helping sure-up the middle and Taylor is better used on the edge. No his hitups are not going to be gangbusting charges but he is smart and he does take some good options in attack. Did h...

Re: Player stats from today

There were a lot of ineffective tackles that slowed the other team down with another player coming in to clean up, so the missed tackle stats are bit misleading. That Brooks/Naqaima miss was a killer though.
