Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

This is going to just take one move by a club and all the dominoes will fall into place.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

It seems that the Broncos are in the driving seat and we will have to wait till they appoint their new coach or knock back applicants, before we can properly determine our path. If it means holding on to Cleary for another year the club will have to be prepared to wear the impact of that if the res...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Can i ask a question. Why have we not been mentioned or rumoured to be after Anthony Seibold? If Bennett is the plan youd be better off having Pascoe meet up with Seibold rather going over to NZ to meet with Maguire. The Broncos might move a little quicker if we did that. Anthony Seibold is good fr...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Here's what I've heard. Cleary expects to report to Panthers training in 10 days. No contract has been signed. Tigers want Bennett. Maguire second choice. Broncos want Seibold Maguire wants Broncos Bennett is softening on Tigers (I.e. More possible than before) Nobody has signed anything. And so it...

I don’t think it’s worth getting rid of him to bring in a noob. The situation with Ivan is not that desperate despite some of the hysteria.
If we can't get who we want that force Ivan to stay just to stuff up the Panthers plans.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

How daft that the article leads that Bennett has reportedly gone cold on Tigers, then subsequently says "an offer that extends his career beyond that from the likes of the Wests Tigers could be hard to turn down". Way to disagree with yourself. Also posters - where is the reference link? Sorry Fox ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

From Fox sports NRL WAYNE Bennett has reportedly gone cold on his link to Wests Tigers. The veteran Broncos coach is now strongly considering seeing out the final season of his contract in Brisbane, according to widespread reports. His latest indication that he has lost interest in replacing Ivan Cl...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Slightly conflicting there Lauren. I think Justin and Marina are taking their time to ensure they explore all possible options and go through the due process. Our problem before was that we didn't do that. Me thinks Lauren might be blonde. It’s been scientifically proven that long term use of perox...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

the longer it drags on, it only makes me doubt that Justin & Marina have any control at all. and the last thing we need is to make rash decisions that only lead us to a repeat of the coaching predicament post Sheens. Slightly conflicting there Lauren. I think Justin and Marina are taking their time...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Please. If Maguire is signed this is a disaster. A tad over the top imo. How is it a disaster? Sinking Boats full of fleeing refugees is a disaster. Maguire signing with us is just something you disagree with. Me, on the other hand, thinks it would be a huge upgrade and would bring discipline to ou...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

I'm sure Maguire will have improved as a coach. You don't get to where he has in this job without being able to learn and improve. Sometimes a year or two out of the spotlight allows you to reassess your performance and where you need to change. I hope so anyway. Even Madge admitted that he had mad...

NRL.com saying that Corey Oats is on track to re-sign with the Broncos.
So we can strike that one off the list that Bennett is bringing next year IF he signs for ‘19.
