Re: Crichton to roosters

Russell I’m afraid you missed my point.
I don’t cheat. Neither do you.
But the fact that our players already have TPAs in place means that we are cheating right now regardless, whether we like it or not.
I think this chat is possibly taking up too much real estate here.
Merry Xmas all!

Re: Crichton to roosters

The Tigers really need to hire one of the accountants from the Roosters; Melbourne or Brisbane. Get them on the Bus Pascoe! Yep. Bernie Gurr was Parras best signing since Gibson. We can’t pinch one of their accountants. Russell will be having hollow feelings each time we play :D You leave my hollow...

Re: Crichton to roosters

Sadly, the imbalance in the league inevitably leads to fans being disenchanted and less engaged. I am one of them. The NRL has become like the NBA & Premier League. The main difference is that at least in those leagues there is no suggestion of cap shenanigans, nor are there obvious under-handed do...

Re: Star Wars - Thread...Contains Spoilers*

I'm a big Star Wars fan and that movie was a huge disappointment.
Can barely think of one redeeming feature.
Was too long, too corny and overall an utter anticlimax.

Luke Brooks will play 300 games for the Wests Tigers
Cool, then maybe in 8-10 years we might play finals again.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

As for Brooks - people on here seem to be wishing that he fails. For those people that think this way, I feel you will be disappointed. There won't be any need for him to be replaced in week 6 or any other week unless he is injured of course. I was happy we gave Brooks a fair chance with additional...

Re: West Tigers -2018 Centres

I like the look of Milne. Suli has been average. Naiqama is a defensive liability. Marsters is an unknown who looked good in the youth grades cos of his bulk. Having compared to the rest of the teams, our centres, though full of potential, right now are completely unproven and defensively questiona...

If you’ve only ever driven a BMW convertible would you ever consider a Kia as your next car...?
Lebron James is the Kia ambassador plus his own car is a Kia, and he loves them.

Besides, anyone who thinks we are just fine with Brooks is not a fan who has the best interests of our club at heart.

Re: Cronk

Russell, I get your point regarding the unknowns. If the offer was publicized I suppose we would know but I am not for doing business like that in public so 100% agree with you there. However, as for your thinking that Cronk isn't that good without Smith, or may not be good with Reynolds - well, tha...

Re: Cronk

I doubt we have the cap space. If he announced he was playing on when he announced he was leaving the Storm, while the "big 4" weren't signed, I'm sure we'd have thrown the kitchen sink at him. Instead, he heavily implied he was hanging the boots up. Even Pascoe amd Cleary came to that conclusuion ...

Cronk - Roosters Official..

Is anyone else here completely stupefied that we haven't made a really serious play at Cronk? The most influential position in Rugby League is the halfback and we have arguably had the competition's weakest for 4 years and likely at least a few more. Meanwhile, the best halfback (bar JT) is looking...

Re: Teddy praises Cronks possible arrival at the Roosters

This whole Cronk thing has only highlighted what a farce the NRL and in particular the salary cap has become. How teams like the roosters manly and cronulla can be in the running to sign him is a joke. I personally believe the salary cap should be scrapped - the same teams will still end up with th...

Fist 5 Rounds: Roosters, Storm, Broncos, Eels, Storm.
Only Top 4 teams.
OMG.
Storm twice.
That has to be the toughest start to any season any team has ever had.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

1. Happening for years: there are heaps of examples, the most obvious being Lockyer. He was on a relatively low contract but TPAs made up for it. James Roberts is another. SBW was a famous one. The nominal fee thing was a possible solution but it hasn't worked - it has only served as another vehicle...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Just want to clarify something said earlier about Cronk possibly fitting under the Roosters sombrero, and particularly, how some here believe that TPAs signed (by the Roosters) are technically within the rules. Firstly, it is accepted that the players are paid not solely from funds within the Salary...
