Re: Wests Tigers Centre of Excellence

Can someone please explain what the centre of excellence is don’t quite get it and also what we do with that money we supposedly get? Cheers Basically it's facilities, however you might want that to look. Typically all of your training and admin needs brought together in one location, all modernise...

Re: Bagging Ivan

I’m in for the long haul with Ivan hopefully. Not all his decisions will make sense to us in the short term because his long term goal is to build sustained success. I’m more than happy with our progress this year knowing w e have some major deficiencies in our list. Me, too. The fans were told by ...

Re: Bagging Ivan

The whole club is in good hands, nothing more to say really Thank goodness for a concise, simple statement on where the club is at this instant! This all started, when a Board and Chair of astute business-savvy men and woman were installed. This was followed by the rebuilding of the top management ...

Re: Referees and commentators

said the same thing in another thread i love hearing opinions of sterlo, johns, gould, fittler etc but they need to give them in their coulumns, footy shows etc not while the game is going on. Why? If It's relevant to the game they're calling I don't see a problem. What I have a Problem with is Rab...

Re: TEDDY NOT FITTING IN

From NRL.com Should be Titled "Wish I was still there" Woods happy for former Tigers teammates According to Aaron Woods:- "I'm still finding my way at the club and need to find it a lot quicker. I've tried to fit in and learn how to play. The way everyone plays it's hard to adapt straight away." But...

Re: Emotional Attachment

Well I started following Wests Magpies in 1948, when my Dad took me to Pratten Park to watch them. I have been a Magpie/Tigers supporter ever since. When I met my wife-to-be, I found her uncle and cousin both played first grade for them. Naturally our two sons had no option but to be Magpie/Wests su...

Re: OK let's be honest now

Honestly, I don't know that we should be discussing our team with ANY negativity. We have been shyte for many years. We all are used to going to work on Monday and having to take it from our "mates" that support any other team. We are used to fading in the last 5 mins of first half and conceding at...

Re: Bulldogs Football club losing control of board?

He only has himself to blame. Moses left because he’s a selfish twat, Tedesco left because he sold his soul. Woods left out of spite. I re-watched his Hooper interview yesterday and had forgotten how vindictive he was. Didn’t help that he would have had much smarter brains around him, pumping up hi...

Well done Keithy! You will always be remembered for your big efforts for long periods of your on-field time for the Wests Tigers. Good luck for the future.

Re: Auburn Warriors to fold due to failed Mehajer sponsorship

What a sad day for the club, which was formed in 1953. I played Under 18's for them in 1958, when they were in the Western Suburbs Junior League competition. Work, part-time University (and some lack of ability) forced me give it away in 1959.

Boo hoo! Yep - and you keep trying to convince your self its a good thing for the club to lose talented players to other clubs. No not at all. I don't have to convince myself of anything because Wests Tigers haven't 'lost' anything. You just don't get it do you? Wests Tigers have gained not lost. Y...

I'll just leave this here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ya7y6cIf5E I think that this confirms a lot of peoples concerns around Tui. After making the break, positioning RTS well and setting up the match winning try, he was not in the first 4 or 5 players to congratulate RTS. Obviously a fitnes...

Re: Shaun Spence doing great things

What a great story! There would be some doubt that this type of thing would have happened a few years ago, so it says lots about the "new" Wests Tigers under the current management regime. No-one could have predicted the very impressive change in the culture at the Tigers. Congratulations to Shaun a...

Re: David Nofoaluma plays through the pain for Wests Tigers

What a shame we let Rankin go mid-season..Nofoaluma could have went under the knife..then he wouldn't of finished 4th in NRL, Total Metres, 3rd in NRL, Offloads, 5th in NRL, Tackle Breaks and been the only Wests Tigers player to play every game.. Hopefully the surgery works well and he has an injur...

Re: AN EMOTIONAL Benji Marshall has opened up on his rollercoaster rugby league career & the return “home” to Wests Tig

The only possible negative I can see is if he gets too tied up in the media crap again. Prodigal son returns..... The flip side is the exposure the club gains. Yeah I agree. There are plenty of positive PR possibilities. I think the club needs to keep an eye on things though so no individual distra...

Re: Our immediate future

I may be talking complete crap here but it appears to me that the one consistent thing Ivan Cleary recruited for was attitude. All of his selections want to play and all are prepared to have a go. They won't die wondering. A word that was overused in the 90's was synergy, but it is a good word for ...
