Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

I would live next door to one happy. Not that it would happen as there would be an exclusion zone anyway. And watching your property value fall by half overnight wouldn't be an issue CB ?? Missed the thread, but are you talking Wind Farms? I know the South Australian plan to have free solar panels ...

Re: Forget about damage to rugby league – what about damage to women?

Wouldnt be the first partner of a sportsman to retatract an accusation. The emotional connection to her partner, and the impact on the famiy if found guilty turns their world upside down. You have to wonder if she is also feeling pressure to make this go away. I think that is often the problem. She...

Re: Player punishment for indiscretions

Our sport has people like Wayne Bennett, signing Matt Lodge on the cheap in a pathetic attempt to win a premiership and keep his job. And that sums it up. If a club is pressured to sack a player, it's a safe bet that someone will sign them up if the player is half decent, once the dust has settled....

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

We've got enough props. We need pace and more pace in the backline. There is no way we can go into 2019 with the lack of pace we have. There is no way a Luke Brooks and Benji Marshall/ Reynolds halves combination do anything next year without some forward dominance. Benji to Centre. I think that Be...

Re: Forget about damage to rugby league – what about damage to women?

Absolutely, these low lifes are everywhere. It's a shame the game cops it, but unless severe punishments are handed down, nothing will change. Here's a thought, bugger the second chance. You get found out for beating, biting, glassing, harassing or in any way, shape or form abusing man woman or chi...

Re: Forget about damage to rugby league – what about damage to women?

I wonder if that dope Greenberg still thinks any publicity is good publicity? This is what happens when you accept domestic violence and allow players to continue their career without consequences for their actions. Greenie has been far too soft for too long anything he does now will be a complete kn...

You are entitled to your opinion col and i doubt if it will ever change. The evidence of man made climate change is overwhelming and the majority of people can see that. It wont make a lot of impact on the rest of my life but for people who are alive in the next 30+ years weather will get more extrem...

Re: Luke Brooks

Brooks really is a loyal soldier. With the big four nonsense he stuck around and again now despite being allegedly chased by other clubs decides to stay loyal. Says a lot about the guy and I hope he sees a grand final victory in the Tigers Jersey. Those snakes, rats and dogs(Tedesco, Moses, Woods) ...

I'm not saying that I don't think he's a dh or what he did wasn't wrong but he looks like a promising forward and I'll give him one more chance because I want to see him do well. Its not about you and what youd like to see its about the victim. Agreed i couldnt care less if he can play well my thou...

Not suprised about him being charged.Manly people have been telling me for years that the issues he had at souffs are still happening. Luckily some of this has been exposed. No DH policy has a lot going for it can you imagine the hysteria by murdochs flogs if he was playing for us it would effect ou...

Re: WT Player Recruitment & Retention for 2019

So both Lawrence and Brooks are looking like being 1 club players. In this modern world where loyalty is almost nonexistent it would be great to have a nucleus of players where the club and jersey mean something. It definitely gives a competitive advantage. Would love to see Nofa, Marsters, Liddle ...

You are guessing that it is a backloaded contract that the club has agreed to.Not a good idea imho No I’m not guessing about the back loading , just going on what it said in the report that I read when it was announced, if it is true then we have learnt bugger all. Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Reading the stories apparently Jennings has signed a contract but it can't be approved because souths are over the cap. If they kepep Johnson they won't be able to keep Jennings. Silly not to make a play. I don't think Bennett wants Jennings. He's the one Jennings that does the dirty work. Forget J...

Re: WT Player Recruitment & Retention for 2019

We need to replace what we're signing though. Thompson would probably come cheap, and he's handy as a back up fullback, Liddle will be resigned if the Pom is on the money and Lawrence will probably play for a modest contract as long as it is not insulting. Aloiai may get another gig if he improves....
