Rank the Players /Positions /Teams

As was discussed with Geo in the Rank the Coaches thread we mentioned about doing a ranking of teams , players and positions at each club Can't see any major signings or changes happening now so now is as good as time as ever The plan will be pick the best 17 imo for each side and then rank them as ...

Re: Team-first attitude driving Packer

Does it really matter how much we paid for our front row? Does it really matter how much we paid for anyone? If our club / coaching staff are happy with the squad put together and we manage to be competitive what's it matter what some individuals are costing. It's a team sport after all and we've m...

Re: The best and worst defensive centres in the NRL

Correct Moses poor defence led to the witches hut running out of the line and leaving nofo marking too many. a lot of people blamed nofo for the poor defensive reads inside him.Hopefully that has all changed now with one at parra and the other in reggies in 2018. Moses Suli - 1.33 Michael Chee-Kam ...

Re: The best and worst defensive centres in the NRL

For all the arguments about the stats Esan Masters played in the same team and was top 10 abd all the others were bottom 5. For me that locks him in a place for next year It's no coincidence that Marsters started playing centre after Moses left. Correct Moses poor defence led to the witches hut run...

Re: R.I.P. Changa..

Not many replies, I guess some of the mud stuck. Superior footballer and legend of Australian sport, may he rest in peace. Most forum members probably didn't see him play Munk and makes it a bit hard to comment , but mud will stick and that was exactly what I said in the other thread Even an old fo...

Re: Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks is in control and ready to rock

Its how we played last year when LoLo arrived and Brooks returned from injury. I like it, but for the old fashioned 6 and 7 to work in the modern game i think you need a couple of things around it. One is a natural ball player at 1, which hopefull Lolo will provide, and two is at least one, prefera...

Re: Pies : Where do you buy your favourite and what is it

Stopped into Golden Beach Bake House this morning and can comfortably say it was the worst pie ever. No salt & a lack of butter in the Pastry, followed with some crappy jelly filling with 1.5 chunks of steak, and again not seasoned. Took 2 bites and threw it in the bin. I noticed this business was ...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Alright, I've had just about enough of the meaningless dribble in this thread. As the title says, it's politics - Discuss politics and discuss it rationally (a hard concept for some on here) or this thread closes. Not sure if this is classed as meaningless dribble , but what has happened in NZ with...

Re: Soccer talk and Banter , keep it all here

Soccer Australia and the next coach must be concerned with the Tim Cahill situation

If he can't find a new club in the next 3-4 weeks I can't see how Australia can take him to the World Cup

And Australia without Tim Cahill better find a goal scorer real quick

Two best defensive centres I've seen were Matt Cooper and Chris Johns

Johns was the best , extremely underrated footballer

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Yes its a choice between a giant douche and a turd sandwhich. Same old same old. Kind of like the choice over who to support in the squabbles going on in this thread... Why would you have to choose who to support in a discussion between anonymous posters on a forum? Are you that big of a loser that...

Re: BENJI IMPRESSES TIGERS

I thought we all were agreed first time round that Benji was a 6 , not a 7 He was a 6 then but he's probably a 7 now. His best season in the relatively recent past was in 2015 as halfback for the Dragons when he finished 2nd in the Dally M count. Yes but he had quality 6's outside him in Widdop and...

Re: Why pressure won't get to Luke Brooks in 2018

A halves combination of Brooks and Reynolds is greater than a halves combo of Brooks and Moses. Worse halves combos than Brooks-Reynolds: Foran-Frawley(Bulldogs), Austin-Sezer(Raiders), Green-Johnson(Warriors), Moylan-Townsend(Sharks). So, I have 4 teams with worse halves combos than us. I think St...

Re: CEO Update - Justin Pascoe..December..

I’d agree about the one home ground bit. But I think a big part of our problems as a club is that we are innefective as an NRL club, both most of the fans as well as Clubs seem to think of us as not essential to the Nrl, I know that the in junior club that I’m involved in, a lot think that way. , M...
