Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

As frustrating as it is to have it drawing it out so long, i can't blame Pascoe for taking his time with this. His job is probably on the line.

Yesterday's hero. 2014 was 4 years ago. Marshall outplayed him this year which says a lot.

How many spoons does Hayne have to win before everyone gets the message. Club killer.
The only team he has been involved in that has got the spoon was this year isn't it?

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Who knows, maybe Nathan has a get out clause, that if Ivan isn’t coaching there by a certain period, he is free to go.

Regardless, it’s dumb and has always been dumb, even when we looked like getting him here. You would think the prospect of them being at the same club is unprecedented.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

They can’t just roll over to release him. Think how weak that will look to the rest of the competition. We already look weak enough under regular circumstances. If Penrith want him, pay up. I don’t think Penrith want him at all. They got rid of him not that long ago. It was all for leverage and sho...

The annual Brooks is ready to make next year his year article.
Some would he say he did exactly that this year. Dally M halfback of the year and 3rd in the Dally M count.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

I know i’ve said I’d be against a rookie, but I’d be open to Demetriou. Rookies are fine as long as they have a good pedigree. A highly regarded assistant at a marquee club. You’d think he’d know his stuff.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

We can’t have Madge ‘locked down’ CB as that implies he’s signed a contract. Cleary is legally our coach until 2020. Well, Manly just signed Hasler without Barrett leaving. What's the difference? http://i.imgur.com/SxprH.gif Noooooo!!!! We dont want to pay both Exactly, it might be a romantic idea ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I don't think Lawrence would make the starting side for any team other than us. He's ok, but no better than who everyone else has. He can't break the line other than occasionally 5m out from the line. No power in attack or defence. Exactly!! In fact I think there are back rowers coming off the benc...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Bottom line Penriths window of winning the comp is probably the next couple of years, than it may close. So do you think they will risk a rookie in charge. I don’t think so, okay Cleary’shas not won a comp, but he is a experienced campaigner, who knows how to handle all the crap that goes with coac...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Manly look like they have fixed there Coaching position with Hasler to take over , announcement in 1 hour Hasler although excentic and his recent efforts as a coach would have plenty of people scratching their heads, but he will be a good fit for Manly in there present mess. When you look at the pl...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Ivan already had us steering towards the iceberg well before this drama with our terrible recruitment and average results. Let him be the one to hit it. Why should another coach have to clean up his mess. That's how i'd look at it if he stays.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

You're right, they probably don't. But we need to show some fortitude instead of saying "here, you can have our coach". What happens if another club comes along and tries poaching our next coach? Do we roll over again? That will be the expectation from the next club. We have him under contract for e...
