Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

Our coaching staff, both Clearly and Hodgo were FB's. They would know a hell of a lot more about positional play etc that us punters would not even notice. I think we just need to back their judgement.. Interesting to read Minichello commenting on Teddy, " He can take his game to the next level, an...

Re: Corey Thompson

I was just thinking that maybe Ivan has realised Corry is a good option as backup fullback So he gives him a full game at fullback against the sharks to really test him Corry comes trough with flying colours No need to sign RTS or Barba now So now he has 1.4million to by players for other more need...

The guy is going to be running the game one day. The NRL knows better than to draw the ire of its future boss.

I’m not his biggest fan, but you can’t tell me there aren’t some gunning to see him fail, just to feel vindicated.

Re: What is Brooks best position

Gee Wizz, Let's hang him and be done with it. Brooks - Whipping Boy No. 1 for 2018. Tui - Whipping Boy No. 2 for 2018. ? - Whipping Boy No. 3 for 2018. Will it be Rowdy or Kev again or one of the new recruits - stay tuned. The more things change, the more they stay the same. And Gamble will be the ...

Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

Tui will play a lot of games this year. Not sure what the kid has done that has so many against him. Every year there is a forum target, poor Fitzy copped it for 1/2 a decade, this year Brooks and Tui and maybe Lawrence will be the targets. On what I saw at the back end of 2016, Tui was the only on...

Re: Team Announcement – Trial Match v Cronulla Sharks

As for the outside back situation, i think guys like Thompson, MWZ and Naiqama knew they were behind the others in the pecking order and busted a gut over the summer. Good for them. Conversely, maybe Fonua cruised a little bit, thinking he only had to show up.

Lol, front row is where we have the most depth

Twal
Grant
Felise
Hooth
Sue

There would be other clubs far thinner.

Re: Nathan Cleary

I think somewhere between 4-6m over 5 years. 6m/5years with get out clause and I would think it's a done deal. One thing for sure, we won't be paying overs for a marque player and we will have last crack imo. Yeah, you can guarantee he’ll have a get out clause if he signs. Puts the club in a tricky...

Re: Nathan Cleary

I think he’s s big chance of being out of Penrith at the end of the year. N.C “I’m more than happy there and I think everyone’s pretty happy." I think right GNR. This line didn't sound that convincing. Even using the word "there" to refer to the club doesn't make him sound too attached to Penrith. ...

Re: Ivan Cleary effect takes hold at Wests Tigers

Of course he’s much further ahead then his previous clubs. He’s had it on a silver platter walking in with an entire salary cap at his disposal. No having to tread water coaching a roster somebody else put together. Probably a big factor in why he took the job. I thought that he coached someones el...
