Juro curve just dropped off a cliff
I've only just managed to crawl out from under the bed after Sunday's nightmare. The curve will be updated by Friday. Seems a bit superfluous though, since you already know what it will look like...

Re: Wests Tigers want long-term Tamworth deal

I would have thought somewhere south west would make more sense for us, instead of north west. Could Bowral host a game? Is Goulburn too close to Canberra? Goulburn yes is too close to Canberra. Why not Wagga or Albury? Gundagai? I think Melbourne take some of their games to Albury. Gundagai is pro...

Re: Referees....

Not to make excuses but I’m pretty sure I read a stat we have the worst win record with these two refs in charge lol, or atleast bottom 3 with both Here are the stats: - Badger: 39 games for 18 wins and 21 losses (46%) - Atkins: 11 games for 5 wins and 6 losses (45%) Against both these refs, that i...

Re: "I don't like footy...."

I clearly remember watching a game on TV with a friend and his girlfriend. The girlfriend was trying to pretend that she liked footy, in a vain attempt to impress us. It was obvious that she had never watched a game in her life. I don't know how someone can have lived all her life in Sydney and stil...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

Apologies for the delay in posting this week. With the long weekend and other commitments, it's taken a bit longer to get around to it. Also, it is not quite so much fun after a loss... After 14 rounds, we are sitting on 7 wins and 7 losses, with a F/A of +1. Despite this, we are outside the top 8 (...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

It doesn't feel like 59% but maybe the recent performances have something to do with it. It feels more like 39% our attack is pathetic. Our attack has been pathetic for most of the season. If our defence can keep us in the game, we are always a chance of winning. Some games it will come off, others...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

Well that game hurt. Yet another close loss, and the zigzag pattern continues. While we have fallen out of the top 8, our chances of making the finals are still above 50%. We are now sitting at 59%. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/De4LiVFUEAAdCD0.jpg:large Key numbers after 13 rounds: - 2% chance of min...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

When was the last time we have been in the top 8 from round 1 to now. If we win this weekend we will have been in the top 8 for the first half of the season. Is this a first since the joint venture? In 2000, we stayed in the top 8 all the way up to Round 19. In Round 12, we were sitting in 3rd plac...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

Another win this week will really help to put the curve in a great position. How do the byes impact on the curve? Are they taken into consideration? Byes don't have a direct impact on the results. I forecast individual games to the end of the season, where every team will have played its 24 games. ...

Re: The J(uro) Curve

Well we've managed to kick clear of 2014 for now, and continue our run above 50%. This is only the second year where we have been above 50% for all of our first 12 rounds. The other time was in our inaugural year, where we managed to last all the way until Round 23 before succumbing. https://pbs.twi...

Twal wasn't penalised for the 'strip' - the ref told them it was a 10m penalty so it was nothing to do with milking.
I wasn't sure if he said 10 metres or 10 minutes. If it was 10 metres, why did they wait until after the guy had gotten up to play the ball?

Re: The J(uro) Curve

We certainly needed that win, but the curve has not turned up as much as I had expected. We are now on 68%, which is lower than we were 2 weeks ago (70%). The trouble is that all the other teams around us also won, meaning we are still in that tight pack fighting for a spot. Another win on Thursday ...

Re: Cleary - One Home Ground..

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the new stadium at Parra is like. If it is as good as I hope, I wouldn't mind us playing home games there.
