Re: R.I.P. Changa..

chang had a great right foot side step which everyone tried to emulate in their backyards- long before the benji bit. chang and billy smith were lynchpins in those great saints teams- add raper at lock and gasnier at centre- fairly handy lineup- no wonder they won 12 premierships in a row.Balmain an...

Re: The Ashes

chappell is one of the originals- tony grieg, richie benaud have passed on whilst who know whats happening with bill lawry. chappell was a much more flamboyant player than he is a commentator. He was a brash, aggressive captain and could bat a bit.He certainly doesnt reflect this in his commentary . So...

Re: Soccer talk and Banter , keep it all here

id prefer to see them play defensively and wait for goals.however, this does not seem to be the coaches philosphy.i think this way as an away goal by honduras could be too much for the team. The value of away goals is still clear in my memory from the iran debacle in the late 90's .they scored two awa...

i dont understand why they are replacing / replaced the present stadium with a stadium that has a capacity of only 30 000 people.didnt the present stadium hold that many as it was.? why not have a stadium which has a capacity of 100 000.? to me its change for change sake and illogical. besides which...

change for change sake is also an issue. what i dont get is the remodelling of parra stadium.i was just getting used to the trauma of cumberland oval being demolished and now parra stadium is being pancaked. i dont live in the area anymore but grew up with parra pool to the south and the leagues clu...

Re: Soccer talk and Banter , keep it all here

one of the big issues in nrl is the use of the video replay. what i loved about the aleague was its none use,i lovedthe way referees waved play on and got on with the game. unfortunately, this afo a goal for brisbane was overruled by a stupid video replay.everone had the dirts with it apart from the...

Re: Paul Vautin axed from The Footy Show

it was like hey,hey its saturday night- people loved it for a lot of years but they also tired of it and wanted something different. the footy show was funny for a lot years under vautin and he should be satisfied with what he achieved. the bosses at nine obviously saw that audiences wanted somethin...

Re: Soccer talk and Banter , keep it all here

fans desperately want a side they can have confidence in. their insistence in playing from the back looks crap and fills supporters with nervous tension. fancy having rookavista to come on and hopefully score a goal- he couldnt do it for perth nor wanderers- he runs fast but thats all. our expectati...
