Re: Aaron Woods

Id like to know who times the PTBs...what a mind numbing job that would be Do they have this stat for every player? Is it gauged by every PTB over every game? 100+ PTBs every game?...8 games a week. I really wonder about the accuracy of all these stats sometimes...NRL now has ''receipts'' (381 NQ-3...

Can Reynolds make a difference?

A lot of commentary around our losses lately are less about the defence and more about the attack. Both Benji and Brooks have seen their form fall away recently, not just with a forward pack that he been dominated a few times, but with their tactical kicking, team kick-chase and direct options / run...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

What are you hearing? He's hearing crickets, like the rest of us Holmes before 30th. Was at Hunter Valley Vineyards yesterday for LLL spotted a former Fijian born NRL centre, asked him straight up,” what’s Kev up too”, he said “Super League”, what’s in it for the Tigers ? I asked , he said “ winger...

Re: Aaron Woods

Question is about "killing momentum" is that he makes more metres, takes more hitups and plays the ball faster than RCG. RCG makes 50cm more on average per charge; they make the same post-contact metres as per run. So the question is, if Woods really is that slow, where is he slow compared to RCG? I...

Re: Aaron Woods

Gotta love all these media reports saying Woods should be in origin because of his stats. Woods can have his good games but far to often he kills momentum in a set. Teams found him out last year just by holding him up and letting him walk a few metres in reverse and they get a 20 second break and r...

Re: Round 11 SPOILERS

Tackles go wrong unfortunately , get your timing out by half a second ...... Is any questioning the tackle made by the Yates on ET that knocked him out ?? Not exactly the same I know , but the body comes in contact before the arms make contact and that should be the issue Pretty sure Yates copped E...

Re: How the West Tigers’ defence is losing them games

Honestly these articles, I appreciate the thought energy, but they make this silly assumption that teams can only focus on one thing at a time, i.e. either defence or attack. As if Ivan runs defensive drills all week, then runs out of time to squeeze in some attack the day before the game. Tigers de...

Re: Round 11 SPOILERS

What do you guys reckon about the Napa hit? I reckon he did lead with the head and it was reckless. He leans and rises far too high, only ever made contact with the opponent's head; if it was his arm, he'd have been in trouble too. That whole set was full of Roosters guys trying to launch themselve...

Re: twal binning

Twal wasn't penalised for the 'strip' - the ref told them it was a 10m penalty so it was nothing to do with milking. I wasn't sure if he said 10 metres or 10 minutes. If it was 10 metres, why did they wait until after the guy had gotten up to play the ball? I don't know. At first I was sure it was ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

If we aren’t interested in Barba then Justin and Ivan are fools. Massive fools. This is the same Ben Barba who is one strike away from being permanently terminated from the NRL I would of thought after the Simona and Lovett issues from 2017 we'd be avoiding players with drug issues like leprosy We ...

Twal was getting into position at second marker, when the guy still on one knee tried to play it and lost it. How could Twal be penalised for being with...

Re: **Live game thread**

We just looked like we did everything slower than they did. Their line speed and PTB was faster than ours all night. Stats show we completed at 77% (30/39) vs 81% (34/42) and 44% possession. It felt like it was, penalty, penalty, our ball, our error - their ball, penalty, penalty all second half. I...

Re: Taken the 2!!!!!!

Penrith took the 2 when they could. I thought it was ok to take the first tap, but when Penrith were warned, we seemed to want to go again and possibly force a sin-binning. Should have taken the penalty then and been 4 up. We were making decent yards and Penrith were giving away penalties, so we sho...

Re: It Takes Longer then a year to Rebuild a Club

I also think there are games in 2018 that get away from you. Cummins crippled tonight's match with the amount and timing of penalties, a really strong ref involvement where it was not required. Penrith saw off our 10 in the bin then came over the top of us, but still themselves couldn't quite get th...

Re: Cammy to Quit SOO

I think they will make him an Immortal for, as much as anything, his nearly peerless rep career (and so many of those being rep victories) and number of accolades. You can talk up Farah as a close competitior, and for a while Farah was certainly Smith's peer, but Smith has played nearly 100 games mo...
