Yes, Waste Anasta and Teddy Blair, both worth their weight in manure.
Anasta, Tool of the highest order. Sums him up perfectly.
He's actually a nice bloke off-field and he's had his share of tough times as well. Didn't play great for us but I don't get the hate.

Re: Wests Tigers: 2018 NRL Season Preview

Interesting that last year we finished 11th (or 15th? article isn't clear which direction it ran) for run metres, but 3rd for metres gained from offloads. It says our hitups were even more poor, if total metres were low but offload metres were a high proportion. I agree with Geo basics - if you scor...

Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

In my opinion it's the wrong move by Cleary. No matter what Lolohea says no player likes getting dumped to reggies. Isn't that kind of the point though? He's not supposed to like "being dumped" and he's supposed to react by performing better and more consistently. If he can't / doesn't, then he's r...

Re: Cleary’s selection shake-up..

Safe to say we won't see liddle over the opening rounds then.. WT seem to have the slowest-healing humans on Earth. Blokes have returned to footy after quadruple amputations quicker than Liddle has recovered from a crook shoulder........... And let's not forget Keithy whose sore toe used to sidelin...

Re: Cleary’s selection shake-up..

Each club is required to submit 29 of their official 30-man playing squad to the NRL by March 1. The final spot in theses rosters can remain free up until June 30. With Suli departing the squad is at 28, which leaves only a few days to add the 29th player. I believe the Top 30 would normally be see...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Why do you feel that it doesn't allow players to negotiate the best deal for themselves? not arguing just interested in your point of view. I feel that as there is no limit on what you can pay a player graded at a 5 for example that it will drive wages higher. I'm actually not a fan of a nominal sy...

Re: Ivan Cleary effect takes hold at Wests Tigers

That's a 67% win rate at an average payout above $2.50, and $2.50 equates to a bookie win confidence of 17.5% (i.e. ~50% disparity between bookie confidence and actual results). jirskyr, a price of $2.50 equates to a probability of 40%. Given that the bookie's profit is also in that price the actua...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I think it can be argued because what it boils down to is one persons opinion on another players worth. We all have the right to try and get the best deal we can for ourselves Succinctly put, yes I agree. Current system allows players to try and get the best deal they can negotiate, based only on t...

I wonder what odds Tui is to get a run anyway? Coaches don't have to stick to the named roster in trials.

Re: Ivan Cleary effect takes hold at Wests Tigers

That team is no where near the best 17. Its not the first ive seen that has left out Marsters, Eisenheuth and Aloia. In my mind they are 3 of our best and why a few of us have some confidence in this squad. If they havent looked at those 3 then they have just dismissed us before a ball has even bee...

Going to be a few years before we have a marquee player signing on the dotted line, said it a million times, the so called top players are lured to a club for more than money. So how did Newcastle manage to land his signature? Sure they've recruited well, but so have we. Our coach is more competent...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

The problem with both the comparisons of TPA's is it only factors in the NRL approved ones. The RLPA is zero chance of agreeing to access to players financials. The only way to develop system is a points system... While money is involved, there will ALWAYS be corruption! 100% agreed.....There are a...

Sorry ... Luke Keary was born in Queensland but his first club was in NSW. It always confuses me ... Inglis was born in Glenn Innes and his first club was in Queensland
I thought he was born in Kempsey? The point stands though.
