Re: Round 7 spoilers

I am not sure wasn’t this similar to the one we scored against Dragons in 2011 finals when Benji appeared to drop the ball but it came off his boot to deflect as a kick and was awarded but I could be wrong Yeah, from memory this one bounced up a bit and barely grazed his ankle or shin. I was surpri...

Re: Coach or Cattle

I think your original assumption is correct Toowoomba. I believe that an ordinary coach can win a comp with a great team, but that a great coach could not win a comp with an ordinary team. A coach needs the cattle.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

According to Wigan website Gildart is 180 cms and 82kgs.......aint gonna make it against the big centres in NRL I guess that Euan Aitken at 182 and 93 kg would also find it hard. Extra 11kgs makes a big difference , your talking over 10% extra weight I've never seen Gildart , but as someone else sa...

Re: Stat that shows how far we have come.

Over at The Roar, Tim Gore has written a good article praising Ivan Cleary. He quoted the following stats re the Tigers: • the fewest tries conceded of any side (7) so far this season. That includes two games against last season’s top-scoring side. • the fewest errors of any side (40) • the most err...

But consider this. There will be a lot of Manly fans out there choking on their lattes over the fact they have to play the Tigers this week.

Not sure I understand MG. Do you think the Manly fans fear the Tigers ?

Hmm No Tui
It worries me relying on Masters to kick goals. Hope it's not a close one.

Re: Rick Wade the magpie saviour and ours now.

I don't recall Western Suburbs being kicked out of any competition.... :sign: Wests were excluded 2 years in a row, Wayde run rock concerts and raffles and many more money making schemes to keep the club alive, whilst Wests never missed a season, they were excluded for 2 seasons in a row only to be...

The Kennel has some good reads if anyone is bored. https://www.thekennel.net.au/forum/index.php?threads/round-5-dogs-vs-raiders-team-list-and-discussion-thread.108919/page-19 When Woods dropped the ball and they ran 95m and scored the next play. Thanks for the link. he says um more than Woods
Watched tonight’s game Dogs v Raiders...how good (not) is Woods going this year... :roll
Wouldn't be surprised if Woods and Teddy miss SOO selection this year. Ironic really, they leave to go to better teams and lose their form.

Re: OK let's be honest now

Look back to 05 and thereabouts. Completely different scenario. We would leak points from everywhere BUT were able to score more. That's all that really matters - scoring more than the opposition. Perhaps, especially in the earlier rounds, but at the pointy end of the season we didn't leak points f...

Re: 1 Teddy or 10 Thompson's...

Origin pays $30K per game and right now Thompson looks better than Inglis or Boyd. There are Queenslanders already making noises about selecting him. He wouldn't be too far away. 1. Slater 2. Ponga/Feldt/Thompson (Inglis and Boyd are too old - they need fresh blood looking towards the future) 3. Ch...

Knock On my arse... If Roosters score from this it will be so wrong
Rugby League referees are always punishing dropped ball by calling it a knock-on. There is no way that was a knock-on.

Re: Aussies 2018 tour of South Africa Spoilers

Of course, ball tampering is bad, and we can't accept cheating in cricket or sport in general, I agree. Although it appears that the ICC don't regard it as a very serious offence. It's on a par with deliberate time wasting and showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision. Perhaps one reason the ...
