Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Fonua-Blake, Joel Thompson and Shaun Lane would be good pick ups from Manly.

Re: Wests Tigers sign Paul Momirovski

After watching his last two games on ISP- - some very very poor misses in defence - doesn’t go looking for work (dirty yards) Depth signing at best imo. I hope he came cheap. Momirovski put some egg on my face last night with a solid display. Defended well, though was rarely tested by Souths right ...

Re: **Live game thread**

I was going to say amateur hour, but it’s been a decade... a frustrating decade of underachievement.

Not good enough in front of this crowd today.

Based on the last 9 weeks, Lawrence is the only forward to get a pass mark.

Re: Marty Taupau Wants TIgers Return

I read this morning that a Manly player was dirty that $100k in TPA had not been paid to him and he was speaking with other clubs.

Might explain the Taupau rumours?

Re: Your team V Cowboys

I’d be guessing Benji will be in Ivan’s office first thing Monday ploughing through video and getting the riot act read to him. In short, “Forget the flashy crap, concentrate and give us the Round 1 & 2 Benji.” Throwing Gamble in ahead of a fit Benji on the back of three losses with a 4 day prep is ...

How did McQueen go today?
[/quote]

Mcqueen was pulled from ISP to be with NRL squad. Short turnaround with a Thursday game, so rested today.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

My drum is that Cordner’s knees are absolutely shot. He’ll be lucky to get through 2018, and may retire/be moved on/scaled down in 2019.

Crichton is his replacement.

Re: Improvement

The team actually defends as a unit now. Seems like the boys know what the man in and outside of him is doing. They conceded what, one line break? Yep, Titans were a bit predictable, but they did defend as a unit out wide. I actually stopped saying "oh no" every time Gold Coast went through the han...

It's been a long time since there's been competition for outside back spots.

Re: CEO Update - Justin Pascoe..June..

Good reply from Pascoe, I think he and Go have the Club heading in the right direction.

Btw, my office received a phone call and email from John Skandalis last week selling shorts front sponsorship. ($20k. Coach Cleary's sponsorship of $25k also for sale)

That said,

Re: ISP Team List - Round 15 v Magpies

I watched Sironem closely during this game and his defence was woeful. He's lazy, slow to react and a couple of his efforts (when tries were scored) looked he thought he was playing touch footy. He had a slightly harder go with the ball in the second half, but the only thing getting this kid picked ...

Re: 6. ?

He'd handle the D and passing ok, but your 6 needs to be a dangerous runner. ET doesn't have the toe for that so the opposition would sit off him and pick off his pass receivers.

I'd rather see ET hitting good lines at 11 or 12- I think he's our best option there.

Its culture, not money that's killing us. Clubs like Brisbane and Melbourne (Cronulla discovered it recently and Saints this year) have superstars, but the team comes before the individual - superstars and the influential members make the talented juniors and even the not so talented better people a...
