Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

So if Brooks bombs this season and Cleary jr decides to stay at the Panthers, who do we sign? I think we should be looking at some of the young, up and coming talent. There aren't many established halfbacks that I'd want. Maybe, Kyle Flanagan? Or, would we just let Gamble have first shot? There's a...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Yes. We have options if Liddle goes off. Need a utility player on th e bench. Not a hooker. Could use Benji in that role, similar to how Broncos used him off the bench. Two props, a big backrower and a utility would be my ideal bench. No second hooker. If every one is fit for R1 then Benji first up...

Teo has nothing on.moses or moltzen Nick Graham deserves a honourable mention , stepping out of the way of Piggy Riddell when the Saints put 50 on us for the last try , trying to recall , did Easts put 50 on us the week before or after Yep. At cambo. That was a long flight back to perth for me.

Team List Tuesdays will be interesting again..
I still laugh when I remember the uproar on the forum because Sheens was always late with the team list.

Who in three quarters impressed? A few have wrapped Marsters, how did the others go?
Thompson and MWZ were really good. The last wing spot could very well be between them.
Thompsons name keeps popping up. Where did Kev play?

Re: Under The Radar

I thought Sue went backwards in 2017. This year there is a lot more competition for spots so unless he finds the form of previous years he might be playing for the Magpies this year and another NRL club in 2019. Nofa Is great. He constantly takes the dirty carries and always seems to come out the o...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I actually get tired of hearing how certain halves need ro run more. IMO l the 2 worst halfbacks that seem to run at the wrong times and the wrong way are Brooks and Pearce. Now when i say run the wrong i mean this, basically taking a hit up. Both these guys take the line on almost premeditated lik...

Nrl leaks SALARY CAP DRAMAS NOT OVER FOR THE BULLDOGS It might be a new regime but it's still the same old salary cap problems at the Bulldogs.  We've been told the Dogs footy department is desperate to alleviate a ton of salary cap pressure before the season begins and the player's name we're hear...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

Interesting stats. I don't recall him taking the line on that much. His metres might be from backing up/ inside balls. Watching him play I still think he needs to attack the defensive line. Do you think he's adequate in this area? https://www.totalfootystats.com.au/nrl-player-stats/wests-tigers/luk...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I dont mean for this to be a long term tactic. Its just a strategy to force him to run again. He seems reluctant to play what's in front of him and if he's not given a measurable goal to meet he'll never take that step. He hasn't run for years, how do you get him started again? Not sure what you me...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I think he literally needs to be told that he news to take the line on x amount of times a game. Give him a measurable goal until it becomes second nature. it doesn't work like that. taking on the line is playing what you see. ad.lib. structured randomness doesnt exist I dont mean for this to be a ...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I think most people on here like Brooks as well. We just haven't seen the best of him. Just little glimpses. Hopefully this year, with a genuine 5/8 next to him and a decent forward pack, the right preseason training, we see his best. The decent forward pack should be the thing. That and a more tra...
