Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

They got rid of Brad Abbey so they are sweet... But are getting Clay Priest from a trade deal so they've effectively haven't cut anybody yet they expect us to believe that puts them under.... Thats because they couldnt offload Eastwoods massive backended contract and he decided to stay. Well ...

Re: Heartland needs love

I think you can forget about suburban grounds going forward. The NSW govt have played their hand with their stadia strategy so I don't think that there will be much money available for suburban ground upgrades. The NRL always seem to follow the AFL albeit a few years later so look at their home grou...

Re: Heartland needs love

Pretty much same-o, same-o from the usual suspects on here. No new arguments at all. What interests me is how the NSW govt's stadia strategy will eventually play out. The govt tried getting consensus from clubs with the Wests Tigers agreeing to play the majority of their games out of the new ANZ . ...

Re: Wooden Spoon Favourites for 2018 with bookies?

If nothing else the OP has generated 3 pages of responses. But....really? I haven't seen the market but I would be pretty sure that the odds would be very conservative at this early stage of betting. Convert those odds to percentages and you will get a good sense of how the odds makers would be pro...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Like every year once the GF is done and dusted the horse trading begins and like every other year we will be the under bidders on anything that resembles quality, but we will snap up a cast off or two. Not being negative and Iam a big fan of Cleary but the bookies have us near or on the bottom of t...

Re: Wooden Spoon Favourites for 2018 with bookies?

Bookies don't run their business using emotion. They look at this year and where we finished and then take in players coming and going. The stark reality is we finished 2017 at the low end of the table and have since lost our two rep players in Woods and Tedesco as well as Moses. Time will tell and ...

Re: Addo Carr signs with Storm...

I had a laugh the other day when someone suggested we would not lose any young talent on Cleary's watch when 3 of "the big 4" left after he arrived. It is hinted earlier in this thread that Taupau may have been influenced to leave (partly) due to how a certain player was treated - it also could hav...

Re: Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Can't wait till Teddy starts carving up with the Rorters and we all bag Ivan for letting him go. Re: Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs [Official]..

So does anybody know why Woods and Foran's contracts have not been lodged and signed off by the NRL. Is is just around cap issues? Has Woods only signed a Heads of Agreement? If so, puts him in a very difficult position if the Dogs pull the pin on him or the NRL don't sign of on the contract. The N...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

That's because if Manly sign him, they will move Blake Green on. Who will we move on? We don't need to move on anyone. Unlike Manly we have enough cap room. When you need to buy new tyres for your car, do you buy 8? Just because you have the money? No, because it is pointless. Tui was bought as a f...

Re: Mahe Fonua

Seriously, first day back in Australia, he's seeing a barber. It'll be interesting to see were he plays though: 2. Noffa 3. Marsters 4. Suli 5. Fonua? or 2. Noffa 3. Suli 4. Fonua 5. DWZ? I am interested in seeing how Taane Milne goes under Cleary. He is rocks and diamonds now but I hope he improve...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Doesn't seem like you read what he was saying. Unfortunately for the brigade who want him here, we've already spent money and roster spots on the spine, including depth. Moylan might seem great because he appears to better than what we have, but he doesn't fill a position we need. If he was a back ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Moylan is certainly a high quality rep player but when you have already assembled the majority of your squad, I think you should only buy someone that fits in with your 2018 plan, not someone who replaces a player you've already spent good money on. Reynolds would be close to our highest paid player...

Re: HAPPY THAT OUR COACH IS IVAN CLEARY

Enjoy the refs while you can. In another few years there won't be many left, what with junior ref abuse and assaults. Just think, only the really bad ones will be left because they can't do anything else either. Our commentators bring the most contraversy because they keep harping on about on live t...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

I think Ivan is the better coach, it's that simple. Moylan has played under both and doesn't like Griffin compared to Cleary. It's normal for todays footballer to do what Moylan is doing. Whether he comes to Tigers or not is mute. The end result is - do Panthers want Moylan or Griffin? One has to go.

Re: Finals series 2017 *Spoilers

I didn't care who would win that game when it started but as it went on and I saw how many Manly players were being absolute grubs - especially that Dylan Walker - then I was hoping for a Penrith win. A lot of things being said probably because of last weeks thrashing but I just love karma. The othe...

Re: who is the 2018 signing you are looking forward to watch.

Sorry, in regards to the topic, I am interested firstly to see how Reynolds goes outside of the Bulldog's bubble. Secondly, I am curious if any/all of the debutants improve further to become first grade regulars. Twal and Eisenhuth played well this year filling in for injuries but next year it start...
