Re: Few Quick thoughts from the Trial

Oh and we DESPERATELY need a decent goal kicker......... I thought Tui kicked ok. He kicked the first two conversions, the first from the sideline that was still going up at the goalposts and the touchies didn’t move much so it didn’t miss by a lot. The second was from right in front. He also succe...

Re: Few Quick thoughts from the Trial

Considering most of the game was played in near 30 degree heat and high humidity before a tropical storm poured down our handling was quite good. I also thought our defense was above average especially for a first hit up. The refs were also quite tough on incorrect play the balls. I’ll give them a m...

Yeah, the cowboys dropped ball etc, but a few plays Thurston was involved in the first half were class and were well contained by the defence. A good showing to beat the cows at their home ground....very good
Mate the game was played in Cairns, not Townsville

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I like Luke Brooks. This season he finally has everything a half back at a decent club has. I think most people on here like Brooks as well. We just haven't seen the best of him. Just little glimpses. Hopefully this year, with a genuine 5/8 next to him and a decent forward pack, the right preseason...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

It’s been mentioned many times that this is a forum and everyone has an opinion. No argument here. However, it appears some opinions are more important than others. The other thing that stands out on here is that some posters just have to have the last word, I’ve seen disagreements go on for many, m...

Re: Honest assessment on 2018

Well we are the Wests Tigers so picking how a season will go for us prior to a game being played is impossible. Did anyone honestly predict 2005? We built strongly for 2010, 2011 we delivered better on fans hopes. Then came the crash of 2012 where we were actually one of the premiership favourites -...

...and deathly silence from Rothfield and other so-called journalists about this. Very quick to lay the boot into the WT’s on releasing Suli - what about now when it’s an even bigger story. Tigers crazy for letting new, young superstar go, Bulldogs brilliant at gaining such a raw talent. Hello? I kn...

Re: Brooks given keys to Tigers' NRL kingdom

I’ve never seen Brooks as a dominate playmaker and I don’t think he will ever be one. His strength is as a ball runner. He will distribute the ball around the park but he is more dangerous probing the line. What I really want to see this year is damn dogged defense from everyone. I am sick to death ...

Re: This years key to our success......

TT, as much as I would like to see Brooks step up and lead us around like a top halfback, I really don’t think he has it in him. Nor do I think his short kicking game will improve much. We know how hard proper halfbacks are to get, we haven’t had one since Scott Prince and we didn’t have much before...

Gee it's easy to be a journalist in the modern day The club doesn't come out and defend itself and they are keeping secrets The club does come out and your sticking the boot in Pascoe when questioned next time should come out and tell the other journos to just ask Buzz Rothfield , he is the Father ...

Re: Fitness

Gotta say, Been checking out the training pics the club has been posting the last few weeks, and the boys are looking super fit. Every year we get the usual "The boys are training the house down" Spiel. But this is the first time for me that the team are looking sharp athletically and it has stood ...

Re: Dib lifts lid on moses, tedesco and woods

It probably puts M Moses petulant behaviour with us last year into better perspective now. I always thought that Cleary taking their contracts off the table was the root cause of Moses petulance but now it seems Cleary didn’t want him at his asking price and Hasler didn’t want him at all. His ego to...

Re: Mentality Shift

I’m quietly confident of a better season - just like every year. That comes with being a Wests Tigers supporter. I think Brooks will definitely improve, not so much because of gaining J Reynolds but because of getting rid of M Moses. Ok, Moses was gone for 75% of last year but it took time to change...

Re: McQueen upbeat despite Tigers coach switch

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t we sign McQueen in April and didn’t he hurt his neck in June but kept playing till end of July?

I’m sure I read somewhere that he kept playing because he wanted to get picked for the England world cup squad.

Re: Official - Josh Reynolds Signs Megathread

I don’t give two hoots about this rumour, true or not. I don’t want a Mother Theresa playing for and I certainly don’t want a woman basher or mass murderer playing for us either. This story doesn’t go close to ripping up a contract. I’ll back Josh to be a top player and embassador for the Wests Tige...
