Re: Making your kids fans.

My boy unfortunately is not all that interested in League, he's been to a few games...........none of which we won, which probably hasn't helped. The first 12 games I took my kids to we only won once. They still stayed strong and still enjoyed going. This year we have won all three games we have be...

Re: What are your thoughts on signing Robbie Farah back?

Not sure about armless men, I have seen plenty of legless men in bar fights. I know our hookers have been poor this year, however I think some are over rating Farah's ability over the past few years. He has played 2 NRL games this year with the form team, and against the Titans they were lucky to wi...

Re: Sugarcoated win

If we have high completions and get some repeat sets we will generally have more than 50% possession and be able to build pressure on the opposition and have good field position.

This in turn helps our defence as we are less fatigued and have reduced pressure.

Re: One game only

Exactly right Geo.

I was there for kick off for both Magpies games at ANZ this year and there was lucky to be 100 people here.

Even at full time in reserve grade there was less than half the crowd there.

Re: Your side to take on Manly

To minimise disruptions, I would leave the bench the same as they have been providing great impact.

Sue, Grant or Felise straight into the starting line-up to replace Packer. I would probably go with Sue. He should play less minutes than Packer usually would, but still best to start with him.

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

It is a no brainer for me - Packer, Matulino, Twal and Eisenhuth are the props. Lawrence and Aloiai in the back row with Taylor. Bench of Marshall, McQueen, Sue and Grant/Rocco (depending on opposition). I am a bit confused Russell. If Twal and Eisenhuth are you back up props, don’t they need to be...

Re: 2018 Draw (rd 1 to 25)

Roosters play top 4 Teams only 4 times all year
And parra play 3 It's beyond ridiculous
I agree we have a tough draw, however with the Roosters and Parra being in the Top 4 last year, they can only play 3 other teams who were in the Top 4 with them. They can't play themselves! This...

It really surprises me how unfamiliar people are with him considering the amount of time he spent with the Storm. Same way they were unfamiliar with Tui.
I know, just as some thought Kelly Egan was a female. Only been around the game for 30 years.

Which player would you prefer?

It is always easy in hindsight to pick the better players. However before the season starts, who would you prefer to have in the Wests Tigers team (current vs former players at similar stage of their careers))? And yes I know some would have preferred to have all of them. Moses vs. Te Maire Martin –...

Re: Save the magpies 1983

Another Maggie supporter was Dave Eagleson a keen cricket player for years. Dave is still going strong at age 93. Still lives in the same house at Lidcombe and has been married for 70 years. I spoke to him last week. Still a Wests Tigers fan. Amazing and thanks a lot. A terrific chap. I will make a...

Re: NOW WHERES THE FORWARD SIGNINGS?

I wonder if he is related to Steve Knight who played for both Manly and Balmain in the 70s--He could play
He actually started his league career with Wests and was a dual international.

Also a very hard player not to be messed with. If a fight started he was to avoided at any cost

Re: Biggest Hitter/Best Defender

Biggest hitter in the game atm is Dylan Napa geez I'd love to have him on our team Napa would have been even more dangerous if the shoulder charge was still allowed. Do you think Napa will end up better than Woods? Completely different styles of front rowers who I think will battle it out in Origin...
