Re: The Ashes

Overall Anderson and Broad are up there with England's best ever bowlers. However they do relie on conditions to assist them. something has gone very wrong for them on this tour. Broad is bowling well below his top speeds and Anderson isn't moving the ball at all. The Aussies have more sideways mov...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Re: The Ashes

Smith as usual was impressive, but he was up against the worst Pom attack to come down under since the first fleet and that probably highlights how bad the other bats are going bar M Marsh. Said it before the first test, there are two average batting sides on display bar Smith and one very average b...

Re: The Ashes

Double Century for Smudge...All Class.. Now unleash hell on the Pommy pretenders... Is Smudger Smith becoming a Boycott and becoming single minded with his batting or is he like Steve Waugh and becoming the most ruthless captain/batsmen in the game. I thought last session it was time to hit the aft...

Re: The Ashes

Smith giving a masterclass Khawaja struggling but records a fighting 50 Aussie bowlers stole a good 100 runs from the poms this morning. Daylight between Smith and the rest of the batters in this ashes series. I just wonder how he would have gone against a real class attack, but I guess he seems to...

Re: NRL agrees to review third-party agreements in a bid to end salary cap rorting

You can not stop players earning an income from their own intellectual property.. Would not happen in any other industry... Then let them do it off their own backs ..... not club or player management involvement Bring back the draft , bloody Tezza Hill  Bloody Dennis Tutty...bring back the tr...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

I think they have to have a NRL type royal commission and come down with real hard punishments for individuals and clubs who are found guilty. What has to remembered a team like Manly is not only getting a unfair advantage in signing players that they did not have cap space for, but it also stops a ...

Re: NRL agrees to review third-party agreements in a bid to end salary cap rorting

Tpa’s have been a disaster for the so called level playing field, and yes they need to be stopped, but it will not stop the cheats, there are to many ways of cheating the system that are impossible to stop. Also I guess it is a good time to start a investergation after the Chooks have got there roste...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

Do you think Manly or any other club are really concerned with the punishment. It has no bearing on what happens in 2018, they just pay a hefty fine and move on. There is no deterrent except some financial inconvenience. Well it will SC The salary cap penalties will be added to their 2018 cap So in...

I'll never understand the offense people take from our usually consistent long odds
No me either, if people think they are ridiculous odds, put their money on and clean up.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Sad to think we only have player 30 to speculate over, going to be slow 10 weeks to the boys start having the odd hit out. I really think no 30 has to be a standout player, but I guess it will be another depth signing

If he maintains his form or even gets better there will be a frenzy for his signature and dad or no dad we have a very poor track record when it comes to out bidding our rivals. Be interesting if Brooks actually delivers over the next two years..what happens than

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

I find it amazing that a couple of other clubs keep flying under the radar of the NRL. Also if Manly are in a spot of bother for arranging third party deals what about Penrith when Maloney let it slip that he was waiting for them to fix up a TPa. The NRL just let that one go through to the keeper

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

With the signings of Matulino and Packer, I believe that both Sue and Josh Aloiai will bennefit from them in the team. Both Matulino and Packer will make good yards up the guts, Sue and Aloiai find it much more easier to follow suit. Aloiai started looking good in the last half of the season and I'...

Re: Submit questions for coach and CEO Q&A

Why are we never in the hunt when it comes to marquee signings and why can't we attract TPA's like other club...of course I know we as club can not arrange them, but it is obvious to all that is in fact how other clubs do it

Re: TAB NRL 2018 odds

I can remember the Tigers being something like 150 to 1 in 2005, thanks very much TAB, I was a very happy Tigers supporter come the end of the season .. !! Yes that is right, it means very little, but still they have to set a board and as the season is still a few months away, the only thing they c...
