Re: Manly Salary cap issue

Do you think Manly or any other club are really concerned with the punishment. It has no bearing on what happens in 2018, they just pay a hefty fine and move on. There is no deterrent except some financial inconvenience.

I'll never understand the offense people take from our usually consistent long odds
No me either, if people think they are ridiculous odds, put their money on and clean up.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Sad to think we only have player 30 to speculate over, going to be slow 10 weeks to the boys start having the odd hit out. I really think no 30 has to be a standout player, but I guess it will be another depth signing

Re: Nathan Cleary

If he maintains his form or even gets better there will be a frenzy for his signature and dad or no dad we have a very poor track record when it comes to out bidding our rivals. Be interesting if Brooks actually delivers over the next two years..what happens than

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

I find it amazing that a couple of other clubs keep flying under the radar of the NRL. Also if Manly are in a spot of bother for arranging third party deals what about Penrith when Maloney let it slip that he was waiting for them to fix up a TPa. The NRL just let that one go through to the keeper

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

With the signings of Matulino and Packer, I believe that both Sue and Josh Aloiai will bennefit from them in the team. Both Matulino and Packer will make good yards up the guts, Sue and Aloiai find it much more easier to follow suit. Aloiai started looking good in the last half of the season and I'...

Re: Submit questions for coach and CEO Q&A

Why are we never in the hunt when it comes to marquee signings and why can't we attract TPA's like other club...of course I know we as club can not arrange them, but it is obvious to all that is in fact how other clubs do it

Re: TAB NRL 2018 odds

I can remember the Tigers being something like 150 to 1 in 2005, thanks very much TAB, I was a very happy Tigers supporter come the end of the season .. !! Yes that is right, it means very little, but still they have to set a board and as the season is still a few months away, the only thing they c...

Re: TAB NRL 2018 odds

The people who set these boards don’t do it with their hearts, they do it by looking at each team and ranking them. Okay every year there are bolters and crashers, but If I was setting a board I would also have them close to the bottom, when you compare our squad with most others it falls behind the...

Re: Fresh focus for Tui after emotional RLWC

One thing that will help him, he will have plenty players around him with plenty of grunt. Can’t see blokes like Suli,Fonua,Nofo and Milne getting rag dolled. We should have plenty of dirty yards in our outside backs

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I really don't know what Woods has to do to please some people. Over the past few years he hardly played a bad game for us, played long minutes and was extremely durable. On the rep stage he was much the same, okay he had a average 3rd SOO game, but was brilliant in game 1, and from what I saw of t...

Re: Fresh focus for Tui after emotional RLWC

I just hope people give him a fair go and don't do a Fitzhenry on him. I think he is going to be the type that will win you a few games but he also have the odd shocker. Looking through our squad, he strikes me as one of the few players who could create something or turn a game. So I think he must b...

I've never really understood the hatred for wighton. Seems everyone either can't stand the guy or thinks he's crap. I dunno, but I've seen him have some pretty damn good games Jack Wighton would have been closed to a first pick choice starting centre for the blues if Sticky had not tried to make hi...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

It will be where injury or bargain dictates I dare say. Or, if we're not in the finals hunt, they might pick up a minimum wage player and pocket the rest for next year. If we do decent next year expect more players to Want to join the bus. In a 16 team comp where real talent is very hard to find, i...

He showed ten times more ticker playing busted than a few other team mates on massive dollars.
