Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I say unless they are 100% shoe in for a position in the 17 and play in a position we need, than we go with what we have and save the last two positions for a couple of young up and comers with real talent who are willing to learn their trade in reserve grade and bide their time till they get a crac...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Lawrence, Matai, Stewart, Myles and possibly Green all gone - plenty of room for one M. Moylan. Not necessarily. I bet they have plenty of players on upgraded or backended contracts, the players they released were to be cap compliant. Unless they release green there's no way they could fit Moylan i...

Re: Media coverage - heating coming off us, onto Dogs

Its funny we sack the coach and we are a basket case, dogs sack the coach,CEO and captain and the press tell us how they don't tolerate failure and are willing to make hard decisions in order to turn things around.

Than again success over a long period earns you some respect.

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

I keep hearing Manly have a ton of cap space, this year they were spending a lot of cap on Stewart and Matai and that finishes this year. Okay Siro and Uatea will be full freight next year but I think they have a lot players on basic contracts

Also did you read apparently the Des Hasler contract extension for 2018+ was non-binding? I look forward to the court battle.
Non Binding contract, wish I had a few of those especially with the bank

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Both Penrith and Manly forums are pretty confident Moylan Has signed and Green is off to the Warriors. That seems a pretty silly move for Manly IMO. Their fwds are their (relative) weakness, particularly the edges. Green has been a great fit for them too - suits both DCE and Tommy T. Still, it mean...

Re: Why Sydneysiders should support the Roosters

As far as I am concerned the Chooks as a club are at the same level Manly were in the 70s and 80s and that is as low as you can get. I would not go out and support them even if Uncle Nick offered me a seat in the City Ford private box. Love to see them flogged, but even with bugger all support they ...

Re: Des Hasler to leave the Bulldogs

When you look what Cleary did with our roster at the back end of the season, than there is no reason a new coach with new ideas can not get the Dogs up again in 2018. They have enough quality in there roster to turn things around. Okay on paper there spine looks average, but things can turn around q...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Not going to happen If he he leaves and that is a big if Manly have plenty of cap space, a connection with Barrett and very seldom get out bided by a rival club Cronulla has a Penrith connection with Lewis and Grahame, Maloney is reportedly being offered a arm and a leg to move to ESL and they also ...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Moylan might have some personality problems, but I would imagine Penrith reasons for releasing Moylan..if they do, will be more about salary cap than anything else. Easy way to get your books out of the red and maybe re direct some of that cap space to a no7 who is in big big demand, and of course i...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Cleary has been playing in a pretty good Penrith side from day one, Brooks has been playing in a struggling Tigers side. So to me pretty hard to make any conclusive judgment. Next year we should get a much better idea

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

He'll do that regardless of where Moylan goes, but we'll have cap space to make things interesting. If Moylan goes anywhere (which is looking likely) I hope it's us. There will be a queue of clubs lining up to sign N Cleary . Money won't be his issue . Deciding who wants to play with & be coached b...

Re: Finals series 2017 *Spoilers

When I look at the Cowboys I think thats the sort of team we could be next year. A team made up of mainly solid harden FG footballers. They are not flashy, they are not grubby, they are just very professional. They prove you don't need flashy show ponies to be a good football team. Lots of applicatio...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Burn out factor will be a issue next year. With the World Cup being played after the GF a lot of teams who have plenty of rep players will have a disrupted preseason and those players will feel the pinch by mid season 2018. We should be in a pretty good position, although gelling so many new players i...

Re: Same sex marriage debate...

A friend of mine was refused by a Anglican minster the opportunity to marry in his church as she was previously divorced. The reason she was divorced was her husband ran off with another man. Weeks or months latter the Anglican church married Elton John in their church at Darling Point in a marriage...

Re: MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Pascoe has just released CEO's address to the members and basically said they are in no rush to fill the last two positions and are going to bide their time as there are going to be players coming on to the market . I really can't see Moylan being one of them even if he ditches Penrith
