Re: Manly Salary cap issue

Obviously the game is too big a business now to surfer any real damage from these types of things, but how disappointing that we can't be even bigger and better because of our toothless leadership. Manly have had a question mark over them for just about every dodgy thing you can do, "sports science"...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Putting my issues with his leadership aside, woods is a good prop, his strengths are his metres gained and he is strong when standing and looking to offload. For premium prop money he is a bad buy, because he can be trampled in defence. 95% of his tackles "do the job", very few sting and every now a...

Re: Is it time to exactly quantify the players value?

Still comes back to supply and demand which will mess with the points system An example would be the current situation with fullbacks and hookers , most clubs have good quality fullbacks and hookers Then rate the backrowers and centres , far different situation One club's diamond might be another c...

Re: Is it time to exactly quantify the players value?

I think a points or rating system is the fairest way. Remove the cap, let the roosters etc pay what they want for the best players they can afford under a points system. It would be non sensitive information that would be fine for the public domain. Discounts for home grown talent, and that's it, a ...

Re: The Ashes

England need a good first hour to get this to 50/50. The old adage of looking at the score and adding two wickets applies here.

A lot of teams get into the position they are in now and then fizzle out. Australia still have the runs on the board and that is priceless.

Re: The Ashes

Engrossing game, the most interesting couple of hours of the series so far.

I thought the day night test was a bad idea at first, I have to say I think it's brilliant after three years and hope we start to see them shared around the country.

Haha most of you went over the top welcoming Happy Tiger back to the forum a couple of weeks ago and now youre all lining up to kick him in the head because you dont agree with what he is saying? Were you being true welcoming him back or moreso the way you are acting now? Happy is entitled to his v...

Thanks Nelson. That's interesting, I'm surprised he's ahead of Maloney, Moses, foran, keary and cleary.

Re: Luke Brooks 2018

Can someone smarter than me give a ranking for all halves based on try assists over the last 2 years? https://www.totalfootystats.com.au Brooksy doesn't even feature in the top 50 for this year. His stats were pretty bad. https://www.totalfootystats.com.au/nrl-player-stats/wests-tigers/luke-brooks&...

Good for Brooks to have Benji and Reynolds in his ear in these photos, he has had a show pony as a partner for most of his career. Now he has a bulldog and a thoroughbred.

Ava more or less said "I've got a better offer, I'm moving on, thanks for the memories" - addressed to the fans on twitter Woods and Tedesco had different versions of "my inferior colleagues aren't good enough to get me to the finals, which I'm entitled to!! Plus, the club refused my request for gol...

Re: What it means to be Wests Tigers..

That pumped me up, not even Happy can stop me feeling good. It is ok to have hope. It is better to have a plan, and that is more evident this year than any season since 2012. We had our worst year in a lot of ways last year, and it has become trendy for some to death ride their own team, because mos...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I’d keep my powder dry sign RTS for 2019 and Cleary for 2020. Exactly. We get a good team base together. Great guys, who can play well for OK money. We cull the weaker players. We then hunt the strongest. Fullback is one of our greatest weaknesses at the moment. I like Lolohea, but other then him I...
