Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

One thing Madge might be able to bring with him is a couple of big scary Islanders to fill out the side and give us some strength up front. The Kiwis love him, and the Tigers would be like a second home with the ones we have already. Not enough for a Haka but we are getting there....

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Back on topic. If recent reports are true the Broncos are interviewing four prospective coaches of whom Maguire is one. If we end up with Maguire it will only be because he is a Bronco's reject - where is the pride in that? I'd rather take the initiative by telling Ivan he can go now with no settlem...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Screw the lot of them. That funny little man Geoff Toovey isn't doing anything at the moment, he coaches at 58%, comes cheap, and has passion. We've had a lot worse than him before.... Mate. The club is cash strapped as it is. We can't afford all the investigations he will call for. Get on the inve...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

I've lost track of who can or can't walk without breaking contract, but it's starting to look like a Mexican standoff for money. If the Broncos or Tigers sack a coach early it will cost them, if they tell them they are free to go they gain nothing, but if they sell or trade they can possibly finish ...

Re: Modern game is all about speed and power

I agree with Eddie and most of these posts but would add that if we are serious about winning we need to get down and dirty. We have a nice management team, a nice coach, a nice coaching staff, a nice culture, nice old players, nice little players, all sitting together in their nice little bus, and ...

Pay peanuts you get monkeys. It's not their fault, we need a better TPA setup.

Tigers are in the eight, Cronk got bashed up, Moses was in tears, Smith got punched in the nuts; it's all good.

Why risk a suspension when we can take him out in the car park before the game? The Raiders have long memories and would do the job for free....

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

It's worth a thought though. A rep hooker for spare change and he still has plenty to offer. Isn't he a Tigers life member or something like that?

Re: Cleary's - "back to the future" prediction ?!

Could "back to the future" mean an encore for Farah to play his final season alongside Marshall? Liddle has an ongoing injury, Robbie looks like playing second fiddle to Cook if he stays at Souths, and contracts don't mean much these days. Probably not, just thinking out loud....

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I think this whole sad situation comes down to a complete lack of leadership, and short term greed objectives by the NRL rather than those of long term growth. Rugby League isn't the only game in town, and attendances will certainly drop unless something is done to correct the public profile now. As...

Re: who is the 2018 signing you are looking forward to watch.

I wouldn't be writing Suli off just yet, I see himas more of a second rower. He wasn't getting enough ball out wide and doesn't have the brilliance to match it with opposition speedsters, but he is a big kid who can step out of tackles and has great ball skills. Worth every cent for mine.

Re: Departing Woods' final words

I wonder what Woods' final words will be after taking on Matulino? This could be a defining game for both of them in terms of their credibility next season.

Re: Eisenhuth contract status

It is what it is says it all. Woods drifts through life in the present without learning from the past and without worrying about future consequences. He might have learnt something from Tedesco's backflip, but one thing he definitely needs to learn is never to crap in your own nest.

Michael Chammas of the Sydney Morning Herald speculates a possible Woods back flip if the Dogs can't sort out their salary cap problems:
