Re: Sitaleki Akauola

He is the prototype second rower every NRL side is looking for, big strong fast and skillful.
He has a big future ahead of him as long as he develops a strong work ethic and doesn`t become a lazy defender who is a liablity because of it.

Re: Newtown Jets V Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers Grand Final

Junior Moors once again showed why we should have kept him at the Wests Tigers, he is too good for reserve grade and will quickly become a star at the Storm. Tom Humble is good enough to play first grade in the halves, but probably not best suited to playing alongside Benji. Put Humble at 5/8 for th...

Re: Michael Jennings To Tigers ??

we just need a solid half back look at what the dogs have done with keating not a world beater just solid Don`t forget they have players such as Ben Barba, Josh Morris & Krisnan Inu who have the individual brilliance to beat their opponent one on one. We don`t have backs with this same ability, hen...

Re: Michael Jennings To Tigers ??

I hope theres no substance to this....Jenko on massive $$$$ with four years??? remaining, he has ego and attitude problems Christ......HOW ABOUT WE SIGN A HalFBACK????? Maybe because there are no halfbacks on the market? We have bought Braith Anasta to play halfback & if we don`t stick with that id...

Re: Michael Jennings To Tigers ??

Play him at fullback so he can get his hands on the football more often. No harm in Tedesco starting off on the wing. I thought the idea of getting rid of Sheens was to stop playing 9 guys out of position every week and then change them all the following week Worked ok for Ben Barba who was origina...

Re: Best choice of coach from ones in talking

Todd Payten and hire Andrew Johns to run video sessions every weeks to ensure the halves are doing their job.

Dale Finucane

This kid is the hardest young forward running around, he`s more than ready to be a starter and won`t get that opportunity anytime soon at the big spending Bulldogs.
We need to build a team of hard young & hungry players and get rid of the ones that are not.

Re: Wests Tigers NYC team v Bulldogs (Finals WK1)

I have seen Mulcahy play a couple of games for the WT 19's squad, he is a very good attacking player who is quick and elusive. He could have passed a bit more but did score 3-4 tries so at least when he does take the line on is a good chance of scoring. His kicking game isn't bad and while not real...

I`d love 2 Benji`s in the side and I`m sure opposing teams would have nightmares about containing them.

Re: Danger Men On The Edge

I agree with the original post. Outside of Benji and Robbie we lack the tools required to be an attacking threat all over the field. The modern game of controlled attack is built on speed, power, aggression and size. Too many of our attacking options in the backrow are either undersized, too slow, ...

Re: Quade Cooper?

Thats right and is the reason I have been so harsh on our centers and backrowers this year. Occasionally Rowdy Blair and BMM ran onto playmaker balls at place but they were few and far between. We do need that half though...someone to draw the attention off Marshal sometimes so he can run/create. A...

Re: Danger Men On The Edge

My point is that Adam Blair does not beat his opposing defender one on one often enough to be an edge attacker and neither did Gareth Ellis at this stage of his career. If a player is not capable of beating his opposing defender one on one then he should be playing as a tight forward which is either...

Re: Quade Cooper?

Someone (Tedesco?) will pop up for us at 1. Halfback is more pressing. It wouldn`t matter if we had Jonathan Thurston at halfback, the playmakers can only do so much if you don`t have ball runners with the abity to beat their opposing defender one on one. I don`t keep track of stats, but I`m positi...
