Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Benny staying in Brisbane for one more year me thinks.. DT saying things could change is seibold commits to brons 2020. Souths could say broncs can have seibold 2019. Cleary to pussy cats. Bennetts to tigpies. 2019 Theoretically, why would Souths release Seibold early? Who would they replace him wi...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Slightly conflicting there Lauren. I think Justin and Marina are taking their time to ensure they explore all possible options and go through the due process. Our problem before was that we didn't do that. Yeah now we're awaiting on how things unveil at the Broncos and it makes me feel they haven't...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

the longer it drags on, it only makes me doubt that Justin & Marina have any control at all. and the last thing we need is to make rash decisions that only lead us to a repeat of the coaching predicament post Sheens. Slightly conflicting there Lauren. I think Justin and Marina are taking their time...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

I'm predicting Madge. To be honest, his disciplinarian-ness might be exactly what we need. He is a proven winner and has a fantastic record. I'd be chuffed with him. Won a premiership then ran his team into the ground the next year Players weren’t happy with the over kill, and that , plus Souths pe...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Ivan spent the year using the media to get his wishes. Thats true - looking back it seems like it was a very well conceived plan to get both he and his son exactly what they wanted. His son gets a big long term contract with the team he wanted to play with all along and Ivan gets the opportunity to...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Anybody got the telegraph benji "players have the wheels now" article? there was also this article : Campbell-Gillard said one moment he was hearing Ivan Cleary would come, the next he was being told it would be Cameron Ciraldo Michael Carayannis, The Daily Telegraph October 16, 2018 6:45pm PENRITH...

Anybody got the telegraph benji "players have the wheels now" article? Re: Kangaroos & Kiwis line-ups

Will Chambers is having a good laugh tonight. Mitchell is a poser. Agreed. He is overrated - especially defensively. I can't stand Johns' commentary. He goes into orgasms of delight whenever Mitchell touches the ball. But he doesn't notice when Manu beats him one on one to score and then when Mitch...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

A snippet in todays SMH that said Ciraldo was going to be relieved of his head coach duties in the next few days, also said Penrith have high hopes for him, and are sending him to the states for a fact finding mission. Thats funny because he is just winding up a trip to the US. Maybe Gus will keep ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

The way people bang on about Wayne may not get another gig if he doesn't sign with us is quite funny. You would swear he was an up and coming 30 something yr old coach whose family will be on the breadline if he doesn't get a gig. He will be 70 yrs old in 2020. 30% of men his age are already dead. A...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Don't think the options are trimming down as time drags down. There just seem to be so many possible permutations it's hard to know which way it'll go. The one that I think is more likely than others (but only just) is we sign Bennett from 2020. That leaves us needing a coach for 2019 but who? As m...

Did JT knock back Manly?
Said he would rather coach Norths ISP than Manly.
is that the fibro poking out?
Maybe - or more likely he hates there guts the same as any other player or fan who has had nothing to do with Manly.

Re: For all the people moaning about signings

That's a small period of three months so you can't take much away from that stat either way. Will our round 1 team be much better than this year's round 1 team? Not by much at this stage if you ask me. 2018 1. Lolohea 2. Thompson 3. Marsters 4. Naiqama 5. Watene-Zelezniak 6. Marshall 7. Brooks 8. P...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

My 2 cents ... If we get Bennett we get a coach who is the best the game has seen, has had results everywhere he has coached, and would attract players who otherwise would not see our club as a potential home. If we get Madge we get a coach who has had success with one club, playing a certain type ...

I came up as Byron bay fan ? With the bong? Did you have vivid memories of the conflict on the western front and your meeting and standoff with Kaiser Wilhelm in Austria in 1913 that eventually led to WW1. Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Heard there is a board meeting next week, so all should become clearer then. Canberra have been seeing if there is any interest in 2 outside backs(they don’t want to chip in anything for them),not for the first time. Also Latu was a done deal until the GC were no longer granting a release due to th...

Re: Jason Taylor Manly?

He’s got some big cojones (if this eventuates). He took us on at our worst period and now allegedly interested in a vulnerable Manly. He may have became a punching bag but I admire him more than I do Ivan Cleary right now, if not just for his transparency alone. Didn’t like him as a coach for the s...
