Re: Tigers interested in RTS

I've heard some crazy things in my time..... Lolohea would be a good centre almost takes the cake. People just want o move players into the centre and think problem solved. It is a specialist position and needs someone with experience to play there. Not just you are a centre this week, be a Lyon or ...

Re: Fonua to lean on experience in NRL return

Great interview! Not your normal pre season chat. Is no one really over 30 yet? Grant, Packerlino , Reynolds , McQueen must be getting close. It seems like tough competition for spots in the 17 is having a challenging effect. Also the volume of new players with new trainers and coaches has been hig...

Re: Team-first attitude driving Packer

Twal is still a pup and has a lot of development to still achieve....these guys dont crack firsts possessing all the skills Agree, Twal is a fine prospect but he is still young and has a lot to learn. Apparently he is quite capable of offloading and I am sure Cleary is aware of this. Probably wants...

Re: Pies : Where do you buy your favourite and what is it

had a Four&Twenty at the cricket yesterday. cost about $8.50 . actually wasn't too bad for a mass produced pie. I think it was one of their premium pies. I knew I was getting ripped off but had to go there. It was my first pie for 2018. 4 for 6 at Coles TD. That is some rip off - should be put in t...

Re: Team-first attitude driving Packer

Well..theres a coupla things I didn't know... Firstly,Packer is quite articulate...regardless of how much hes paid. Secondly,...were paying him $750k....really? know they were desperate times for WT after the "not so big 3" departed,,but.....?Having said that,he is a current Kiwi international(tho ...

Just missed seeing Devery play, but my Uncle Vic was always saying how good he was.

Thoughts are with his family at this time.

Vale Pat Devery

From the Wests Tigers official site: Vale Pat Devery Wests Tigers would like to extend their condolences to the family of Pat Devery following his recent passing. Devery came to the Balmain club as a 21-year-old from Tweed Heads, after playing in the Brisbane competition with Fortitude valley. He pl...

Re: BENJI IMPRESSES TIGERS

Give Benji the #6 jumper and put the grub at #9 Let's stick with the plan for the moment. We can make changes as needed when the season starts. Agreed, but Brooks has till round 6. Then we give the Number 7 to Marshall (or maybe Reynolds if he really wants it and remembers to pass!). Hope you have ...

Re: Why pressure won't get to Luke Brooks in 2018

If anyone seriously believes this kid has not taken everything from the club and given back next to zero, then they have not been paying attention. It could be argued the only reason he is still here is because no one else wanted him. He better get with the programme fast as the pressure is certain...

Re: The Contenders: Lock

Because Taylor is extremely good at defending in the middle and is a better ball player than Lawrence. Lawrence has also just spent the last few seasons reinventing himself as an edge forward, would seem harsh to ask him to start again as a middle forward where his hole running would go unutilised....

Re: The Contenders: Lock

What hole running? The only holes I've seen Lawrence running into are the dressing shed tunnels at half time. Lawrence is a great hole runner - hits at tremendous speed but can have a loose carry when taking the ball at the line Come on Tacky! I think Lawrence runs great lines and often isolates a ...

Re: The Contenders: Lock

I know the modern trend is to have props interchangeable with locks, but if Taylor is a consideration for lock, why not Rowdy? He's got the ball skills (gone well at 5/8 for us in the past) and the footwork. Because Taylor is extremely good at defending in the middle and is a better ball player tha...

Whether or not Reynolds is the best option at hooker (I vote no, not even close), most coaches like to keep their spine intact.
What has he played 1 or 2 games at hooker. Taylor would eat him as a hooker.

I vote no as well.

The funny thing about Trump is he thinks that he is still on his reality TV show He has fired just about every member of his political " dream team " Saw a photo recently and of his top 7 picks only 1 is left Done well Donald , maybe his surname should be Duck , not Trump You forgot to mention that...

Re: The Contenders: Hooker

I don't think we need two recognised DH's in the 17, it wastes a good bench spot.

Especially as " clontarfkid" says "we have Taylor and Marshall" to switch around whichever way Cleary wants to go.
