Re: Pat Richards

If you're going to make comparisons you really should only be comparing him against other centres & wingers. Age isn't on his side, but Jamie Lyon IMO is one of the form centres of the game and he's the same age as Richards. He's a handy goal kicker, regularly tops the top point scorers list in the...

Re: Pat Richards

[quote="Pat Richards would be well down the list of the "best back line players in the world". I could name 50 players who are better than him. He is not a centre, he is a winger who can play fullback. Changing a winger into a centre late in their career is not as easy as changing the number on his...

Re: Pat Richards

Pat's one of the best back line players in the world. Even though he is playing in Super League he is still in another league of his own over there, just killing it, year after year. Had he stayed in Oz he would have racked up a few Rep games here thats for sure. Patty will be there before Rowdy an...

Re: Pommie Forward pack at WC

Its good to see actually. I always go for the underdog in international rugby league for the greater good of the game.. I know this is a bit of topic but would you rather see Pacific Islanders (Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, etc) in the four nations rather than PNG? Actually much prefer to see a combined Isla...

Toka Likiliki

I am pretty sure he is off contract next year. He is massive, plays big minutes and is a genuine big prop, not a converted backrower. I have watched him a few times this year in the Jim Beam Cup and he has been solid, with great footwork and pace (played wing for the warriors under 20's!). Yesterday...

WestsSupporter wrote:The difference is their utility is a forward. Can play in the centers, wing and second row. That is if we are talking about Chris McQueen.
NSW also have two additional utilities already in Bird and Lewis who cover more positions than McQueen. I reckon Woods or Grant would of been a better option

Re: Centre of excellence hopes for Macarthur

The way the salary cap it's getting harder and harder to recruit.Big name player can be afforded by there clubs. Its all about development and you have to start at grass roots.Such a centre would encourage youngsters through our system and the area is heartland rugby league with plenty of potential....

Re: Anyone due back after the bye?

I think if Lawrence is fit and I mean fit he would demand a spot in place of Simona who has been good but he isn't Lawrence form is temporary albeit not good for some time but class is permanent ,he will get back to some of his best its just a matter of when and that some is still better than Simon...

IMO, it leaves Pat Richards as a mistake in relation to recruitment - I wouldn't want to see Koro or Nofo discarded to make way for Richards.

After watching last nights game how could you not include Sauaso Sue? He has a good mixture of effort and agression and besides he is a Mac Fields boy!

Re: Is this goodbye Utai and Tuqiri

Big Pat will be the left centre. What experience does he have as a centre? I always thought he was a specialist winger, who could fill in as a fullback when needed. An NRL standard centre needs to be at a certain standard defensively. He wouldn't be any worse defensively than Jennings, J. Morris an...

Re: Is this goodbye Utai and Tuqiri

Interesting thought - Utai and Tuqiri aside.... With Koro Pretty much cementing his place in the First Grade Squad, and Nofo already looking like he fits into the team, where does it leave Pat Richards? Lets say Nofo keeps playing consistent footy. Gets better with confidence, and brings some of hi...

Hard to drop him when he has gone so well, but if Lawrence and Aysh return its either Reddy to the wing and bye Nofu or Reddy goes.

I wonder how Potter will go?
How far off returning are Lawrence and Ayshford?
