Re: Maguire likely to shelve Tigers' five-man captaincy system

Definitely has to be Rowdy. The epitome of a captain that is well deserving to usher our club into its next phase.
Will also consolidate him as the club legend he is.

Re: Michael Maguire Inteview - Radio

I've listened and read from Maguire since his appointment. The thing that stands out to me is that he continues to reiterate the fact that we are such a great club. I reckon this is the beginning of him shaping our players mindset to finally believe that we can be great. Who knows if we are going to...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

No one orchestrated a scrum move quite like Sheens. He started the scheme to trap the ball at lock and let the opposition pack break early ploy. Commentators were giving Melbourne credit for that this year.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Lawrence out pacing Slater at Leichaardt of the scrum move to seal victory is still up there with my favourite live moments. The crowd was absolutely wild. Yes kids, Lawrence could motor once upon a time.

Re: Madges team

Agreed ink, some wingers are better stepping in off their left, some right. Some can turn and chase better from one side rather then the other in defence. It definitely is not that simple.

What about the unfinished business at this club?
Too much work for Ivan.
He'll have to walk from his Panthers contract in 3yrs time to finish the unfinished business he never finished here... And then leave the Tigers to.. Well you get the picture.

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

The only way Cleary will face the Karma. Is if Penrith tank. They have a good batch of players and a strong foundation, and allegedly the best financial sporting club in Australia. So if they don’t reach higher than 5th like they made this year with the apparently unwanted coach and his side kick, ...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

What Go said was all factually correct. He has left us in a much better position to succeed. The Tigers move on with the upper hand after it could have become another debacle. I have to disagree there. With the exception of Mbye, Thompson and to a lesser extent Matulino Cleary's recruitment has bee...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Yep, it would've been easy to take the low road. You really cant fault how the WTs management have handled the whole situation. There was a middle road and that was to make an announcement that Cleary had been released and leave it there. That would have been consistent with most fan wishes. I'm no...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Well she did have to but at least she did it in such a curt way that her true message reads loud and clear. That was the club giving the middle finger to old mate "Iv". Took the high road. Stay classy wests tigers. Yep, it would've been easy to take the low road. You really cant fault how the WTs m...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Very happy with this appointment. A coach with a premiership in the last 5yrs who is the current NZ test coach. I can see one of Matulino or Packer following Ivan out the door with Tamou and Whare coming over.

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

"After negotiations with both Bennett and Maguire went deep into finalisation stages, the Tigers decided to take a different direction. The organisation is proud to announce Brett Hodgson as coach until the end of the 2022 season." In all seriousness though, adocarr was always leaving. Pascoe if ind...

Yes McDonnell was a jest :)
You could /should of been strung up ,hung and quartered if you were serious

Even Shannon would have brought his pitchfork :D
No fear of Shannon catching me, he would have kept slipping over.
