Re: The Al Packer made 31 metres

Not sure that lack of go forwards was our problem yesterday and tend to think the stats are a little bit misleading.

We had absolutely no ball for the first 60 minutes of the game. When we finally got the ball we were moving it laterally instead of trying to go through the middle.

Re: The run home 2018

Don't agree on Penrith are above Dragons across the context of the season - though they were outstanding on Friday. They have had a very fortunate draw (and somehow manage to have a very fortunate second half of the season draw as well).

Re: The run home 2018

Just don't understand how anyone could claim it isn't a difficult run home.

Souths and Dragons are the standout two best sides in the comp (with Penrith close behind). Then we have the Raiders twice who I would have in the top 8 sides in the comp personally. So that is 6 very tough games straight up.

Re: Grit vs Class

Spot on. The usual suspects will come on and try and pin it on scapegoats. Reality is we came up against a side that was too good for us, almost right across the park. The fact they have Tamou and Kikau coming off the bench says it all imo. We were a rabble but the Panthers turned us into a rabble w...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I would be devastated if we signed French or Holmes. Both are great wingers but neither have the necessary ball skills or vision to be elite fullbacks in the modern game. The problem is that to pry either away from their respective clubs you'd be paying elite fullback money. Big no. Brian Kelly on t...

Re: Marty Taupau Wants TIgers Return

When he is on he is one of the best forwards in the game. Would immediately transform our pack. We would be kidding if we didn't make a run at him.

Re: What was the second sin bin for?

Absolutely. And there were multiple cynical penalties by the Warriors when we were wrestling momentum back. Really frustrating. Not getting the rub of the green the last few weeks.

Re: What was the second sin bin for?

Absolutely crazy penalty.

How did Blake Green not get binned in the first half when he wasn't square at marker? Far more cynical penalty than ET racing off the line.

Yeah it was noticeable the roll on Parramatta got running at him.

Re: Benji, Alioia, Nofo

You are 100% on Benji's third tackle kicking. It turned the game. Off his first third tackle kick the Eels come up and nearly pin us in our in goal area. Brooks escapes and then he does it again. The Eels take the second opportunity and score. Benji's game management has been applauded this year but...

Re: Matulino

Think he's been poor this year. Has played small stints and has lumbered to the line. Outplayed by the lesser light Sue tonight. Losing Packer has buggered the balance of our pack.

If Lawrence played for most other teams he'd be touted for origin. He is playing as well as Lewis was when he got picked.

Surely the player who underwent the HIA can only replace the player that replaced them? Otherwise it is a free interchange?

Re: Live game thread: Contains spoilers

We missed Packer enormously. We have a lot of good quality forwards but they do lack impact. Packer is great at running with momentum and getting sets started on the front foot

Re: Reading our own press

I wish Brooks had put the ball over the sideline. Yes Knights have a set start but at least we would have had the shot clock's time to reset ourselves and have a breather.

Re: Eisenhuth commits till 2019..

Neither Twal or Eisenhuth hits the line particularly hard. However, both have massive motors and graet leg drive, and therefore make plenty of metres. Definitely not plodders.
