If Rona joins the club, he might also end up in the centres potentially...
I think Rona might have some offers to stay in Super Rugby, and now that he's made the Wallabies I reckon he'd want to stay in Union.

Re: Teddy plans to end career at WT

Won't happen as he will either be a superstar by then and the Roosters will keep him or he will be busted by then. The comment about the possibility of coming back to the Tigers is a little disrespectful to his new employer as he hasn't even started with the Roosters and is contemplating a possible...

Re: Teddy plans to end career at WT

Yes, Teddy, when you've had you 12th knee reconstruction, the Roosters are focussing on the next fast kid they've bought, Nike's got a new poster boy and you can't make a rep side, then you'll ask about finishing your career at the Tigers.

Re: Our next two games

Depends if Brooks and ET are both ruled out or not.. we'll be up against it if JLJ is halfback... Easy fix the Sheenius way.....Lawrence to 5/8 LOLO to 7....Aloloi to backrow...only 2 more games to go... :roll Sheenius would have Michael Chee Kam at 5/8th, McIlwrick at halfback and Watene-Zelezniak...

Re: Player fire sale just weeks away

There is no way Woods will be on the sidelines next year. I dont know where he will be playing but a rep player can not be left without a club because the club he signs with screws up their cap! The NRL/RLPA wiil ensure allowances are made to protect players in this situation even if a club picks h...

Re: Benji - official

Anyone think the grub to play 9?? I wouldn't mind seeing Brooks tried at 9. Brooks and Reynolds are both arm grabbers in defence. Either of them would be a disaster at 9. Reynolds is just as likely to come up with a shoulder charge, spear tackle, clothes hanger or just trip them over. Or he might j...

Re: Benji - official

This opens the door for a lot of possibilities 1. Lolo 3. Marshall 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 1. Benji 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 14. Lolo 1. Lolo 6. Reynolds 7. Marshall 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 14. Marshall Let the off season battle for spots begin. Reynolds can play hooker, so throw that into your calculatio...

Would Brooks be a better number 6 long term, if we could buy another halfback? He is legitimately quick.

Two days ago was a pic in the Tele of Tedesco giving a kid a pair of Nikes. It's almost as if a third party has reached some kind of agreement.

It's been a long time since there's been competition for outside back spots.

(Except Rankin v JAC, but let's not go there)
Rankin had a first grade tier contract, JAC didn't, so it wasn't really a contest.

Re: Brooks is no good

Be interesting to see how long Cleary perseveres with Brooks in 2018 ..... he just hasn't got it at first grade level. Til we buy someone better. Brooks is still a better number 7 than Littlejohn, and Reynolds and Lolohea are both 5/8ths. For the moment Brooks is our best option and not on a helluv...

Re: Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

But he says careless things like "I've got no idea what's happening", when he probably means "it's just an unfounded rumour". And then he says "all I know is I signed a contract with Dogs" - well that's actually a weird way of saying "I have signed with Dogs and intend to honour that agreement". Ev...

Re: Is Taylor now redundant ?

The positional switch had more to do with our weak edges IMO. It's not that Eisenhuth is a better lock than Taylor, it's because Taylor is streets ahead of Lovett or Edwards. Cleary just moved his most reliable player into our weakest position. That said Eisenhuth had a blinder given a starting role...

Re: team analysis like Brad Arthur

Some coaches are happy to talk specifics with the media, some play their cards a bit closer. I don't think it has much bearing on how they actually coach, but it is nice as a fan to have decisions properly explained to us. Hasler and Bennett are one end of the scale, Brad Arthur is the other. Cleary...

One thing the injury hasn't taken from is his ability to know which lines to run. He doesn't hit the line with sthe same intensity anymore, but he can still hit them.
And Brooks looks a lot better with a back rower who can run the right line.

Re: Reynolds under police investigation over nightclub altercation

Basically the rules these days are if they have to kick you out it's a $550 fine. I can remember in my uni days waking up with my shirt torn off me and all my ribs turning purple. I had no recollection of leaving the venue but apparently I was politely removed.

Re: Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

Oh well he can come back in a year's time when the Dogs blow out their cap, but they'll be paying a fair chunk of his salary.
