Re: McQueen upbeat despite Tigers coach switch

He was going great last year until injury hampered his form, if he is fit he will be a good signing. Yeah ,great player if fit ,Souths sure missed him. Still a gamble thou.,like Ballin & Reynolds there is a question mark on him surviving a tough season but time will tell. Most online bookies have u...

Benji is a champion isn't he.
More 'was' the last 5 or 6 years but looks like he will have a different attitude with us this time around.

Re: Oils

Love the 'Óils' but saw them live at the Northern(Great Northern?) Hotel in Byron back in the 1980's and they were terrible. We drove down from the Gold Coast for the night and it was a shocker of an evening, they performed in that big barn like room the Hotel had back then,Garrett was pissed or doped...

Re: AN EMOTIONAL Benji Marshall has opened up on his rollercoaster rugby league career & the return “home” to Wests Tig

Marshall was offered a contract by Brisbane for next year but decided to get in contact with Cleary to ask if the Tigers could offer him a deal. I'm not sure that bit about the Bronco's contract is 100% true but good to see him end his career here. I think the Union experience was a good one for hi...

Re: One Foot in Grave Forum

A guy walked into the local welfare office to pick up his check. He marched straight up to the counter and said, "Hi. You know..., I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd really rather have a job." The social worker behind the counter said, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very w...

Re: Manly Salary cap issue

The investigation has concluded with no charges laid - sounds like a huge cover-up. I understand that there was some kind of statute of limitations but seriously if a crime has been committed then any player involved ought to be punted (sorry, couldn't resist) The particular task force may end but ...

Re: Teddy praises Cronks possible arrival at the Roosters

Politis looks after them as long as they serve his means. Yeah, but when he turns its curtains as Ricky Stuart knows. One of his biggest dummy spits was with Ryan Cross,Paul's son,he apparently agreed to terms with Nick on a handshake then defected to Rugby with the promise of a Wallabies Jersey. Ap...

Re: Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs [Official]..

I don't think Reynolds' problem with his hammies are as bad as it seems. I reckon he kept getting rushed back a week or two earlier than he should have been since it was his final year at the club. They probably wanted to give him as many games in blue and white as possible. With a full pre-season ...

Re: Teddy praises Cronks possible arrival at the Roosters

I posted last year that the Chooks were looking at life after Pearce ,came from a mad Roosters supporter i've known since the 1970's,he also said Moses had agreed to terms with the Roosters then backflipped to stay at the Tiges. then backflipped again to join the Eels.

Foran is a shot duck....the dogs have got years of des mistakes to live through. I wouldn't take Eastwood for free either and Morris brothers are done, their leaders re gone....they will take our spot in bottom 3 next year. Des thinks Renyolds is gone and on the slippery slide out of 1st grade,thin...

Re: Paul Vautin axed from The Footy Show

The worst thing to ever happen to Channel Nine was losing Yvonne Sampson. She had everything they needed in a female presenter and they let her walk. I don't think 9 had much choice, massive dummy spit by Sampson, interesting to know the real reasons.I think its much more than equal pay and the fact ...

Re: Paul Vautin axed from The Footy Show

Good riddance. Should have gone 10 years ago. It nearly did,Producer at the time wanted to get rid of Fatty and offered the Gig to Matty Johns ,Johns wouldn't take it unless Vautin left on his own accord. Anyway a lot of fallout followed when the word got out,Fatty stayed and Johns left but he got ...

Re: Why Not the Balmain Bears?

My best memories as a kid was playing 4 grand finals on North Sydney Oval. Lost the first one, and won the last three. I would love for rugby league to return there. If Norths get back in i think they intend playing 4(6?) home games at NSO,that will P..off Gold Coast Fans if they are successful in ...

Re: Did we miss out on Des

Jason Taylor by all accounts is a strong tactician but doesn't seem to have the people management skills to get the players to do what he wants. Exactly, good 2IC but needs a strong Jack Gibson type Head Coach to get his message thru. He doesn't seem to be able to get respect or authority over playe...

He still has a lot of support at Manly and if Trent has a bad season next year he could be back sooner than most people think.

Was the building ever condemned by the council? Not that i know of but the Leagues Club and Carpark should have been cleaned up regularly. Re: Des Hasler to leave the Bulldogs

Jim Dymock should get the gig, he's a good coach. He was promised the Gig back in 2011(12?),not sure who was on the Board at the time so the promise is probably worthless now. I haven't seen it mentioned but apparently one of the reasons DH left Manly was the growing interference of the Eagle Angel...
