Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

Fitness is definitely one of the aspects he needs to work on. Fitness might need a top up. I think it is more defence chat from the back he need practice in. A little slower game may help him get it together. That's the other reason Russ. The quicker he gets up to speed in that aspect, the quicker ...

Re: Corey Thompson

They are trials most teams are not playing to their usual shapes or combinations. Place NO value in trials. The squads selected have zero bearing on the round 1 team. Zero bearing? Disagree completely. You simply do not play a member of the spine in a reserve grade trial when your attempting to for...

Halfback, whether or not he is the best halfback at the club is probably the more important question.

Re: Team Announcement – Trial Match v Cronulla Sharks

I posted this on Sunday in another thread Interesting to note that when Thompson was at the back Cowboys didn't score and Thompson was doing a lot of talk Saw a write up about this today saying how well the team had done with Thompson at the back Obviously Ivan has the same idea and just wants to c...

Re: Cleary’s selection shake-up..

We haven't had this much competition for spots in a long time so it's a pleasant change rather than dreading some poor bloke being promoted who you know will struggle.

Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

The competition for spots is a good thing, let's be honest about that. If Lolo needs to work on a few things such as his fitness and positional play at the back etc, then that's fine. It's more pleasing to hear he knows he has plenty of work to do and both he and Thompson are pushing each other to b...

Re: Team Announcement – Trial Match v Cronulla Sharks

Interesting starting side for this match, injuries notwithstanding...Also surprised Lolo isn't named at 1 but Thompsons footwork did look impressive last week and a couple of guys on here, I think fergie above reckoned Thompson was training the house down so maybe his fitness has got him over the li...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

People still don't have Felise in their sides? He was our best forward in the trial, which at least gives him a bench spot in my side. No doubting he was very good against the Cows which was great to see, the kid has talent and we never saw it last year. With the depth we have in the front row, it ...

Anyone leaving Aloiai out of the side is doing a huge injustice to the team. He is our best forward. Beast.
I'd have him starting on the right edge for sure.
