Re: America - Gun Control

As an Australian living in the US, the strangest thing I see with gun control is this ingrained fear that unless the population is armed, the government will run riot and oppress everyone. They genuinely seem to fear their government. I explain in Australia, a government gets too big for its boots ...

Re: America - Gun Control

The problem America has created for itself is that of creating a gun culture, which they have had from day dot. Control won't work for several reasons. One is that there are over 300 million guns in circulation, cataloging them all is impossible based on their registration records, or lack thereof. ...

Re: America - Gun Control

Regarding the bump stock and recoil, it's far from impossible, in fact it's quite easy. The .223 calibre assault rifles are pussy cats to shoot. I've fired a H&K G36 among other assault rifles and the recoil is minimal. Given he had 22,000 people to aim at all he needed to do was point in the direc...

I'm a fair bit younger than 64 but I bet I could pull a trigger for a long time. He wasn't wrestling a bear in there. Earl have you ever used a rapid fire weapon? I have and what he did was quite easy to do with the setup he had. People also need to recognise that he was also setting up rifles on t...

Re: America - Gun Control

without digressing too much from the topic i would disagree. I think we live in an age where we are smarter and healthier than we have ever been in human history. Information which isn't accurate generally speaking is far less likely to be ranked by search engines such as Yahoo; Baidu; Google et al...

Re: America - Gun Control

It's bad but have you ever tried talking reason to an American on gun laws. It's impossible. Nothing will change. Mate they are unbelievable. I carry a gun for work and shoot competitively on weekends, I reload my own ammo so I'm a gun advocate provided they are in the right hands. I'm a member on ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

SHHHHHH II Lewis Brown’s days at Manly could be numbered. Brown has one year remaining on his deal and is within his rights to see out his contract but there’s whispers that the Sea Eagles won’t stand in Brown’s way if he can secure a long-term deal with another club. https://www.foxsports.com.au/n...

Re: Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Addo-Carr was chased by the Storm before he signed with the Tigers. Once he got himself known in FG with us last year, it was inevitable that he would leave after listening to him last week, he said it was a no-brainer to sign with them and he certainly proved it.

Re: Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Addo-Carr was interviewed earlier in the week and said it was a no-brainer to sign with the Storm last year when the opportunity arose so I'd say we had buckleys chance of keeping him.

Can someone tell me if the long term deal with ANZ is a good deal or was it stupid and how long the deal is for?
10 years and the club is guaranteed at least $100,000 even if the crowd is pitiful. To make a profit at Leichhardt I recall the figure of around 12,000 to make a profit.

Does anyone know how long until our deal with ANZ ends? I'm all for games out of Sydney but I was hojng they'd be at the expense of ANZ....not Leichhardt and Campbelltown http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/home-truths-why-playing-at-big-venues-pays-off-for-sydney-clubs-20140426-zr05p.ht...

I didn't think Mitchell had heart..certainly didn't show it with us....if he did it was the size of a pea... Wont be missed except when he has his odd good game in 10 ..when the Club baggers lament why we let him go...good riddance I say... Be the player your team mates want to play with has never ...

People have really made a mountain out of a mole hill regarding this same-sex marriage debate. If you support the notion vote yes, if you don't then vote no. If it means nothing to you either way then don't vote at all. #howhardisit
