Ivan had an appearance at Panthers Macca's today for McHappy Day. Wonder if he legged it mid-appearance?
Unfinished business at KFC... I think his son might work down there...
He did have one of the mgmt spit profusely in his bucket once but he's willing to trust him again.

Re: Liddle to Bulldogs? - SMH article

1st Injury free pre-season ever for Liddle, he knows where he stands with the club & knows that 2019 is a big year for him in his career. Will be given every chance to prove his ability & worth. Plus he's the type of kid that given any contract he'll sign to return the faith shown. Expecting big th...

Re: Luke Brooks

The Pom already put it out there he has agreed. Not always spot on but probably the best strike rate on here. I’ll stick with the Poms info. The POM said he will re-sign, not that he has re-signed. It's positive, but that doesn't mean it's over the line. I'm pretty sure we would have front-loaded s...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

As for PC culture. It's there, but it's overblown. Yes there are a myriad of examples of people saying silly stuff (i.e. you shouldn't say X), but we are calling it SILLY. That's Free speech. Conversely there are things that are said which go below the bar. We punish our footballers when they say t...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Trump has sacked Sessions and that is going to create havoc one way or another. Because of this action I doubt that Trump will see out his full term. He is already going feral at press conferences. He accused Accosta of CNN of touching the woman whilst holding the microphone - this from the man who...

Re: Tigers boss defends handling of the Cleary exit :Part 1

IMO, management signed the wrong bloke and sowed the seeds for a terrible situation. IC had a future superstar son playing first grade at another club when he joined us. History shows this is never a sustainable situation. Penrith were never, EVER going to let NC go. The chances of keeping IC here ...

Re: Luke Brooks

I thought he was changing managers? I would feel a lot more comfortable if he had someone other than Issac Moses there as the bloke is definitely a loose cannon. Certainly didn't do his due diligence at the Bulldogs for woodsy. Really hope Luke resigns. But can't blame him if he leaves. A lot of 'su...

Re: TIGERS Rozelle Development

I'm not sure how it works, but I believe all assets will now be sold and debts settled (as much as possible given what equity can be recouped) Given the brand will be sold also, I assume it may be a possibility it can be resurrected with a clean slate, just as long as it's technically the same entit...

Re: Will we make the 8 in 2019?

We'll certainly give it a shake. We had a solid run after bringing in Robbie and mbye mid-year, who will now get a full pre-season.

If we can nab a quality centre and prop in those last two open spots and injuries are kind, we should get there.

Re: Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

With the signings, Pascoe explicitly said about the reformed recruitment 'team' in an interview. The aim is to remove the risk we had in the past of the backloaded contracts (same predicament the Bulldogs are in now) by having only 1 person responsible for contracts with no oversight. So, recruitme...

Re: Justin Pascoe on 2ky 8am today

Do we have to question the signing on Oliver Clark Was the signing necessary or helping Penrith out We have to question almost everything Cleary has done from mid 2018 onwards recruitment retention wise , players he let go ........ Does Cleary bring the game into disrepute .........?? Does the NRL ...

Re: Cleary Compensation?

The way the Panthers skirted around it with a technicality shows there was a settlement there. It was just down to the method. I'd say Ivan is paying the compensation from his new Panthers wage, but the Panthers will top up his deal by the same amount. Panthers have just kept it at arm's length so t...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

No you are 100% right, I saw the interview on FOX, the main part of that interview was that Ivan had complete control to bring Nathan if he liked. So Nathan not coming is more Cleary's fault that any one else. Yep. I personally know Justin was talking about the potential of bringing him over a year...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Hammer , we would of been better off keeping Cleary for a season and pick someone else up than taking Maguire And if you can't see why the Cleary situation has occurred was because Pascoe and Go your deluded I slightly agree with you about Madge. But that's a personal thing. I personally don't like...

Re: 2019 Coaching saga -Thread

Well played, Gus Gould, well played. Once again, our club is the laughing stock of the league. For all the huff and puff about not letting Cleary go, Penrith well and truly called our bluff. It's an untenable situation to keep a coach that has signed elsewhere if you're a club that's intent on rebu...
