Re: ISP Team Announcement: Round 8

Losing Quadja is a big blow to this side. Garzaniti isn't remotely up to this level imo. Godinet to come back to this team in the coming weeks will help though.

Hope Gamble isn't picked in first grade unless he's in the 17 as we can really see what he's got now.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Drinkwater released to ESL. That will screw up our ISP side big time. Might make Gamble take on the lead role though.

This guy just doesn't seem to know what he wants to do. Players here for a year, goes to ESL for a year, comes back for 3 months, goes back to ESL for 9 months

Re: Josh Mansour

He wants overs. He's been somewhat injury plagued. I'd offer max 375-400k for 2 years and he take it or leave it.

Re: ISP Team Announcement: Round 7

McQueen hasn't even been the best back rower in ISP. He's solid, and tries, but hasn't really done anything to warrant a callup ahead of anyone in the 17. We have Chee Kam on the bench, and Eiso who can rotate to lock if ET goes to back row for a stint. 2 props, MCK and hooker, can't see where McQue...

This competition has dropped off the face of the earth. How’s our team been going?
Winless
Oh dear, that’s disappointing
0-6 and for & against of around -120.

Playing the team equal top this week, will probably be another hiding.

Twitter rumour says we are chasing a Super League centre Oliver Gildart, last years young player of the year for 2019
A small centre who's scored a try every 2 games in the ESL? Meh, not overly inspiring stats but I've never seen him play.

We need more centre options though , that's for sure

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Ross would be in ISP with us and have to earn his spot. He's no superstar that walks straight in. Team morale is high and even signing a star and dropping an average player who's busting his ass and performing at a high level would be very disruptive, but for an Origin level player probably ok. For ...

Re: ISP Team Announcement: Round 6

This team without most of the first graders looks quite average. They turned up for the first half hour then clocked off and went home. No one in this squad is pushing for first grade. It's an attitude thing. They're too lazy or plain dumb to play first grade. Fonua is completely reliant on injuries...

Re: Jersey Flegg Team Announcement: Round 6

Well they lost again and are sitting dead last now. From memory the score was like 28-4. When the club is going so well in so many regards it seems Flegg just got left behind in the planning this year. A couple of decent prospects, but largely a squad of numpties who aren't even remotely up to playi...

Re: What to do with Grubby?

From that game he needs to be playing ISP in the short term. He was completely buggered after playing just 20 mins. Liddle was also out injured for 8 months and had far fewer problems with fitness on return. Grub also played and trained most of the preseason where Liddle didn't. Maybe getting a good...

Re: Dylan Smith

In the end if he's killing it in flegg (as well as he can in a busted team) then he should get a shot in ISP later in the season. Heleta is a solid ISP player, improved a lot, but still unlikely to have much of a first grade career. Smith's development opportunities shouldn't be held back by someone...

Re: Ryan Matterson

I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's a bit more of an impact player than what we have, he knows how to get across the line. Our backrowers are mainly workers who tackle but don't really threaten the line - Aloiai may be able to but needs to consistently demonstrate this and start making more breaks.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I think the Morris twins would want a lot more money then that mate, sill handy players. Fair enough...they have been quoted as saying they will stay in Sydney for less but acknowledged they may need to move to the Super League to continue playing if they want big coin. I reckon the package is a bi...

Has the club officially commented on the extent of Packers injury or are we all guessing?
Guessing based off rumours. He got scans taken yesterday. Odd they haven't announced anything yet.

Re: Fullback Recruit

The bloke's one game back after a month off with a knee injury. People expect him to be carving up like Teddy did for us. Ridiculous. He's goal kicking is winning us games. He saved a crucial 40/20. He got us a 7 tackle set at a crucial time. So he didn't make many meters in attack. Not a surprise w...
