Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Goodness me. What a basket case. We should never have played ducks and drakes. Should have made a call on Cleary’s integrity from the start stand him down at the end of the season and go to market with a coaching position available. Bennett would more likey be happy to wait till Parramatta move on ...

Re: Benji Marshall re-watched all his 2018 games before deciding his future with Tigers

The fact that Farah will be in the top 17 next year is what concerns me. He's not just a 'back up' as people are claiming. He's the best Cleary could come up with to try and plug a hole in our side, but he's not good enough. There were better hookers off contract. With Brooks,Reynolds,Gamble and My...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Back on topic. If recent reports are true the Broncos are interviewing four prospective coaches of whom Maguire is one. If we end up with Maguire it will only be because he is a Bronco's reject - where is the pride in that? I'd rather take the initiative by telling Ivan he can go now with no settle...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

It was a throwaway line. There was no deeper meaning behind it Yes there was a mantra behind and yes it has deep meaning. He used it to the guys who ended up leaving the club. Forcing them to make a decision and let us know. They were either coming on this journey with him or they weren’t. He also ...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Cleary is smart enough not to walk. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ When I thought he had some integrity I would have said Cleary wouldn't do that but we know that bird has flown. If I was WT and he does decide to play hardball I would: a) appoint a coach for 2019 an...

Re: For all the people moaning about signings

Still cant see who is going to make the metres up front. We got found out at the backend of last year with a pack that went backwards against the opposition, and we have made no improvement what so ever in that area. I tend to agree. we are definitely at least one big bopper short, at the very leas...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Would have been a lot easier if Cleary did not hold discussions with Penrith for next year onwards and then indicate his wanting to get out fast to WT CEO and Chair. Thus, pretty clear that he would not want to build a solid last year under sufferance having informed the club that he prefers to lea...

Re: Dogs targeted by poison-laced meatballs in popular Sydney park (Leichhardt)

I'm glad we live rural. The only thing we have to worry about is our dog getting bitten by a snake or eaten by dingoes. No sickos chucking baits around.

Difficult doing your own wines NT? So far, no. Far less difficult than I had thought. I have access to a lot of fruit at times through the year so figured it would be inexpensive, just some hard work. I did a lot of reading about making fruit wines and 'averaged' some recipes(i.e. took the bits tha...

Whiskey: I don't drink much whiskey anymore, too expensive, but Laphroaig is the one I usually get when I feel like it. Tequila: Generally if I buy spirits, I usually get Sierra Silver tequila neat, with lime juice or occasionally when my NZ mate is around, Margaritas. Beer: Coopers Pale or Sparklin...

Re: Tigers set to part ways with Cleary and seal Bennett deal

Did they say it would be a disaster? I don't remember that. Well I m not quoting directly but both said it would be difficult working for a coach who had signed elsewhere Try quoting directly. What you have said is not what I remember. Brooks definetly didn’t say that Thanks GCT. Nor can I find any...
