Re: Missing Tackles have no correlation to Conceding Points

Ink and Milky nailed it any way- scarmbling defense can't be considered a good defense. Why not? I would have felt any defence that keeps points out is a good one? I think a controlled, cohesive defense that contributes to winning the ruck is better, an attacking defense that forces oppositions int...

Re: The Transformation is Complete

Rather than get angry, maybe we should listen to what he says....hes actually saying what a lot here have been complaining about. Rebuilding -> always next year -> playing well taking precedence over results I guess what Teddy fails to mention its probably easy to think the way they do when money ha...

Re: Passing into players around the ruck.

NRL head of football Brian Canavan has instructed referees to crack down on players deliberately passing the ball into defending players at the ruck. Starting with Thursday night's clash at Suncorp Stadium between Brisbane and Parramatta, referees will now rule that if a dummy-half player "deliberat...

Re: Missing Tackles have no correlation to Conceding Points

That's a very interesting graph. Panthers and tigers , especially, buck the trend. As you say that would be good goal line defence but also good scrambling defence. They certainly have got a good culture of backing up their mates. I saw a graph produced by DT I think also showed us and Penrith conc...

Re: Don't love the change at fullback

I find it hilarious that a 22 year old professional footballer like Tui would be as unfit and slow as he was last year, then after a supposedly tough pre season he is still the same but now with some mystery injury. He is either injured or fit and ready to play, cant be both ? He had a knee injury....

Re: Wests Tigers v Bulldogs: Reynolds on bench; Klemmer starts

And another thing: Can't wait to see which player didn't get the memo about the NRL's crackdown on rules, specifically those who deliberately throw passes into players in the ruck to milk a penalty and any sin-bin offenders who stroll off the field (always a bad look). Referees have been ordered to...

Re: Round 11 SPOILERS

Wayne Bennett has launched a fiery tirade at the NRL over the match review committee's failure to charge Dylan Napa, accusing the game of having an anti-Brisbane bias. The Broncos coach unloaded on the game's governing body after prop Korbin Sims underwent surgery on a broken jaw following a head-t...

Bloody hell. Not much of a weekend for the Walker family... I wonder if the two incidents are linked?
