Brooks is not receiving good ball by any stretch of the imagination.
When we are being smacked 20 nil and many want to blame the 1/2 back?
Missed most of the match except the end, yet have had the same thoughts from just reading this thread of the first half.

Re: Trial Match v Cronulla Sharks *LIVE Thread

Our go forward was bad, no quick play the ball, and our 2nd raw was dominated by the opponents. All in all, disappointing effort so far  Reading through the thread, having only caught the last fifteen minutes of the game. To this point this post finally gives me an idea of how the game is pla...

Re: Kids Footy

My young fella has decided to sign up to play RL for the first time this season, so will be back around junior league regularly again for the first time in many years. He is tall and skinny, so will most likely struggle a bit against the really big kids in some areas, but they will have no hope of c...

Not going to bother reading what others may or not think, because it is probably just a little short of vitriol from some. The guy is a halfback, no need for conjecture.

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Can't help to laugh whilst watching the reserves for reserve grade of the government in the background with Qantas' Allan Joyce spruiking their business tax cuts and the reasons for it, including employment. This is the same company that is recording record profits on the back of wholesale employee ...

Re: Dropped Lolohea faces fullback challenge

If I recall correctly, Tui was the last one to come back to training post World Cup and this would have him behind in fitness a little as well, which with his seemingly natural body would not have helped him. Expecting him to bounce back and grab the spot.

Re: Ivan Cleary effect takes hold at Wests Tigers

All seems on track and we will soon see. Following the circumstances of the highly rated player's departures last year, I will not miss them one bit and look forward to supporting a team rather than groups and individuals.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Yep and Twal also. I think any of those 3 can provide great impact when we need it. Twal is a lot of things, but one thing he isn't is an impact player. Gave me a chuckle. I guess we see it differently. You may well be correct if Alex can bring out his passing game, of which the only time that I re...

Re: Tyson Gamble

I reckon Gamble is close to Origin selection...we'll miss him.. Come-on Geo I did not say that he is ready to play State of Origin. Tyson is a goal setter and has always done so in his development and more importantly he has always reached them - that is an important skill. Most of us set goals and...

Re: Trial Replay?

Anyone know where I can watch a replay of the trial. NRL.com has this link https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/02/17/watch-live-north-queensland-cowboys-v-wests-tigers-nrl-trial/ but nothing is available to watch. Any help would be great Pretty sure that Tacky posted a link in the latter pages of the gam...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Seeing Esan was played on both sides the other night, it certainly looks that one spot is his, with the combination with wingers being considered. Unless Taane puts in a performance that demands selection, I also think Kev may well get first shot with MWZ on the left. Whats with this fascination of...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

Whats with this fascination of naiqama at centre? If he gets put in the centres in front of milne and marsters I will be spewing. He can play wing or a backup fullback. Thats it. Good post. Someone had to say it. Per my reply to Seantice above, ask the coach. More to the point, where is all the fas...

Re: Realistic team list round 1 2018

I'd prefer to wait until we see everyone get a run, but I get the feeling the following will be there: 1. Lolohea 2. [MWZ or Thompson] 3. Naiqama 4. Marsters 5. Nofoaluma 6. Reynolds 7. Brooks 8. [either Packer, Twal or Matulino] 9. [id suggest ET will start here] 10. [either Packer, Twal or Matuli...
