Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I’m super keen to see how our new, highest paid player will go next season. Josh Reynolds. Not even a blimp this season. Brooks is now our highest paid player Not yet. Brooks is still only going to be on $550 in 2019. Can't imagine that is the case Don, even though the guy is loyal, I reckon we stu...

Re: My thoughts

So what made you start watching Origin without already supporting a NRL team? i went for west tigers only cause my mates went for them... and i watched SOO so i could contribute something to a convo bout NRL and not be lost Do your mates also live in the south-west area as well Boss and what age gr...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Certainly would as the emissions from many such a Chinese factory is from producing the excessive amount of goods consumed by 50 average Joe type families in their lifetime. Obviously, this makes our footprint considerably worse than the already three times per capita average produced on our shores...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Walking occasionally as you suggested would be a good start, as Joe and his average family here are producing about three times that of their counterparts on this planet. We would also be well short of where we are if we relied on private industry as so much more technological development comes fro...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Thought that you were going okay until the ultimate paragraph. Upon reflection, as individuals, do you really think so? Absolutely. What is Joe Average living in Liverpool with his wife and 2 kids going to do to stop man-made climate change in any meaningful way (assuming that human's have anything...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Unless you are an atmospheric scientist or climatology expert, you are deferring everything you think to be true on this topic to those experts. So the question becomes, how reliable are the experts? Personally i am agnostic on the question. I don't know, and i don't pretend to. I know the climate ...

Re: Zane Musgrove

Whilst we have been discussing the indiscretion allegedly committed by Zane, with some seemingly more concerned about it's affect on WT, statistically, another woman has been killed and most likely by a man she loves. It is wrong that so many woman are attacked, just like past (plus present) predati...

Re: Forget about damage to rugby league – what about damage to women?

Hear hear! Another way to look at this, particularly with Hayne's profile, is that it gets the issue out there front and center. There would probably be a number of members on here that have inflicted violence upon woman in their lives, so if they are not confronted by their mates to tell them to st...

Re: Silver lining comes in small packages for Reynolds after nightmare season

Sounds like the result of a one night stand. I’m sure this has happened to hundreds of players over the years. This is the first time i’ve ever seen a player so open about it though. Nothing wrong with it, that’s life. Would be easy to take the cowards way out, living interstate with commitments as...

Re: Ronnie Palmer

A mate who is a Panthers fan brought it up last year, when we had a few players going down. He was with Cleary at the Panthers when injuries ruined 2 years for them, and last year we had quite a few players miss weeks here and there with various strains. Might all be con-incidence, but these type o...

Re: Zane Musgrove

It's really hard to find the balance between victim and society. Ultimately, there has to be harsh punishments for not only a deterrent, but to provide suffering equal to what the victim went through and an exile for the ongoing safety of others. On the other hand, if blokes like this can be reform...

Re: Luke Brooks

I find that last paragraph very moving. Such loyalty ! It's interesting to speculate about what motivates players. When you consider Robbie, Benji, Rowdy and now Brooks (and others) - they love the club and want to achieve success for the club and with their mates. Woods and Tedesco on the other ha...

He is guilty of at least one thing, exhibiting a pattern of behavior and a very poor pattern at that. I am all for giving people a chance, but you only get one. Similar to that I wrote in the Walker thread, Leopards don't change their spots, with sexual and physical assault often becomes the norm fo...

Could cop the past overdose etc, whilst thinking that everyone can make a mistake that is out of character, but hitting the ones that love you is almost always at the core of one's character, a violent trait that they inflict on all those that get close.

Just caught the second one, in which you guys naturally and clearly gelled better, so a big thumbs up. Worst moment was Simon Dwyer carrying a limp arm off the field. Not so much at the time, but in the aftermath. Whilst another close worst moment is THAT scrum and THAT Anasta field goal coming on t...

For those going on about 'loyalty' - get off your high horse.

Coaches and players have no loyalty. It's a job. They go to the highest bidder.

They aren't fans like us.
For those that look at life that way, yes, but certainly not that way for all. Not everyone is self centered and greedy.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Has Zac Cini signed with Wests Tigers? Looking at his highlights he certainly has the pace and talent to make it as a first grade centre. What a prospect this guy is.. Fantastic foot work, strong fend & speed... Thanks for bringing this guy to my attention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b0oTR4xz...
