Re: 3,2,1

..no one had points for Kev? I thought he played better than all Souths outside backs. However I do agree that Marsters trumped him. Next year, if we get a better centre that Kevy will be doing well. And I'm not forgetting that Fonua will be back. Fonua may or may not be the answers in the centres ...

:deadhorse: Also I've been critics of packerlino for a while but I really think they earned their dough. The whole forward pack did Packelino have different roles to what we are used to as props, and a little unconventional - packer in particular draws defence and gets quick play the balls, he was ...

Re: Twal

I would say the HIA's had more of an impact on the interchanges tonight... Chee-Kam going off early resulting in Garner coming on early would have changed the Garner himself replaced by Aloiai.. Wouldn't read much into it..Twal did his job.. Didn't stop Chee-Kam from getting over 100 meters. He wen...

Re: Player and team stats from tonight

Yet we gained twenty percent more ground per set. Cook being so quiet is the true indication of just who dominated.

Gassed after five minutes last week and then consistently finding his front on the back of good metres this weekend. Thumbs up for his efforts against the bunnies.

Re: Twal

Whilst he seems to have been going well and I thought so too, looking back, he is often the common denominator of the periods in which WT have lost matches. The general difference of those appearances, compared with the middle periods when he was paired with Mats, or the last couple of weeks from Su...

Amazing... Thought it was Ben but it was mostly ET.
Nah, it was Mats that stopped him in his tracks, just as he did on a number of other occasions tonight. That said, Elijah iced the cake.

Re: 3,2,1

3 Brooks
2 Matulino
1 Sue

Mats stopped their go forward and along with Sue made ours. Despite the efforts of the Burgi, particularly Sam, the game was won in the middle and Brooks provided the polish as well as some great defence.

Re: Farah's Last Hurrah

Thurston was good as well last year, but not the same this season as age catches up. Anyone in their right mind would savor this opportunity that Farah and co have for a last hurrah and say goodbye on their own terms whilst the sun is shining. Langlands is the perfect example, needle issue or not, h...

Eisenhuth should get a new hairstyle for retro round.

If he dyed it red, he could create Keith Galloway flashbacks
He could even be slower than Keefy and certainly is in playing the ball.

Most of the credit here should go to the coaching staff that created the set plays which the players carried out, not which player did this and that.

He's 5'8 btw
So... What has that got to do with anything, Damien Cook is 5'8 as well and look at him, he's killing it.
Actually Cook is 5'10
He's 178 cm, that equals 5'8.
No it doesn't, as 178÷2.54 = 70

25.4mm/inch, so multiply by 70 (5'10) and it is rounded to 178cm.

Re: El Packer

He made probably the most important tackle of the match late in the game that saved our bacon and he got there despite huffing and puffing, having just struggled to get back in the line. He then sat on his haunches for a while whilst we prepared for the handover. Glad someone was watching the game ...

Anyone else noticed he gased.
Yeah, he was gassed alright, or certainly seemed very much so. Looked to be lumbering along in a retreating defensive line rather soon after coming on, which caught my eye and made him seem a lot bigger than I thought that he was.

Re: Player and team stats from today

Farah is encroaching on Brooks's game once again. Brooks is quiet on the 5th tackle with only 60m from kicks. Farah doubled it and obviously he favours Benji's side because he got way more ball. Farah still wants to play hooker and half at the same time. It’s comforting to know , that you know more...
