Re: Silver lining comes in small packages for Reynolds after nightmare season

Sounds like the result of a one night stand. I’m sure this has happened to hundreds of players over the years. This is the first time i’ve ever seen a player so open about it though. Nothing wrong with it, that’s life. Would be easy to take the cowards way out, living interstate with commitments as...

Re: Ronnie Palmer

A mate who is a Panthers fan brought it up last year, when we had a few players going down. He was with Cleary at the Panthers when injuries ruined 2 years for them, and last year we had quite a few players miss weeks here and there with various strains. Might all be con-incidence, but these type o...

Re: Zane Musgrove

It's really hard to find the balance between victim and society. Ultimately, there has to be harsh punishments for not only a deterrent, but to provide suffering equal to what the victim went through and an exile for the ongoing safety of others. On the other hand, if blokes like this can be reform...

Re: Luke Brooks

I find that last paragraph very moving. Such loyalty ! It's interesting to speculate about what motivates players. When you consider Robbie, Benji, Rowdy and now Brooks (and others) - they love the club and want to achieve success for the club and with their mates. Woods and Tedesco on the other ha...

Re: Zane Musgrove

He is guilty of at least one thing, exhibiting a pattern of behavior and a very poor pattern at that. I am all for giving people a chance, but you only get one. Similar to that I wrote in the Walker thread, Leopards don't change their spots, with sexual and physical assault often becomes the norm fo...

Could cop the past overdose etc, whilst thinking that everyone can make a mistake that is out of character, but hitting the ones that love you is almost always at the core of one's character, a violent trait that they inflict on all those that get close.

Re: New Wests Tigers Podcast - (Helmsey and I) -UPDATED - EPISODE 2 POSTED

Just caught the second one, in which you guys naturally and clearly gelled better, so a big thumbs up. Worst moment was Simon Dwyer carrying a limp arm off the field. Not so much at the time, but in the aftermath. Whilst another close worst moment is THAT scrum and THAT Anasta field goal coming on t...

For those going on about 'loyalty' - get off your high horse.

Coaches and players have no loyalty. It's a job. They go to the highest bidder.

They aren't fans like us.
For those that look at life that way, yes, but certainly not that way for all. Not everyone is self centered and greedy.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Has Zac Cini signed with Wests Tigers? Looking at his highlights he certainly has the pace and talent to make it as a first grade centre. What a prospect this guy is.. Fantastic foot work, strong fend & speed... Thanks for bringing this guy to my attention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b0oTR4xz...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Catching up on my Sky news evenings tonight after giving them a miss for a while, as I do like to keep informed of alternative viewpoints, so I normally tune in, though unsurprisingly, very little has changed. Like their political favourites, along with ones such as a PM that they have to stomach, t...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

I think this has been a very productive pre season. - Appointed Madge - Added Matterson, Momo and Musgrove - Re-signed Brooks How about we all just sit on that and enjoy it for a while, instead of going on about the last 2 spots. The club is more than capable of knowing what needs to be done. Relax...

Re: Luke Brooks

Written it before and will do so again. Luke has been at first grade level since his debut and rightly been playing there, even if in the middle to bottom range. This past season he was the best performed half over the season, despite being part of a team that missed the finals. WT just signed the c...

Re: Where Do You See the Tigers Placing in 2019?

I voted for 7, because we have a coach that is going to be dedicated to us in 2019. I personally think Maguire will bring the best out of old & new players we have. He will be out to prove a few things that have been shot at him in the past good luck to Madge & the squad he has. My thoughts as well.

Re: Players who never reached their potential

Also Jacin Sinclair - so much potential sadly He was my first reaction. When he came onto the scene, I thought Sinclair could have been one of the real Tigers greats. I think the club thought that too. Him and Tim Brasher in the same backline - amazing talent. Set the wayback machine: https://www.y...

Re: Which was WS Best and Worst games of the 2018 season?

Rds 1 and 2 were special. The most pleasing fortnight of footy since 2005 for me. Second storm game probably the biggest achievement. They were ready for us, we gave up home ground advantage, another maggot's milestone. Bang. First manly game and south's game. Also great. Even rd 3, very proud of t...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

If I recall correctly, weren't the Jews the first people regarded as terrorists when trying to hurry up the British to hand over parts of a country that they had no right to, in the form of Palestine to them? I don't condone calling people Nazi's, though it should be remembered that ridiculous auste...
