Re: Don't love the change at fullback

The modern fullback is seen as a ball player and as much as Thompson has been safe and runs well, that isn't a facet of his game. For mine, Tui is fast becoming an enigma able to produce glimpses of brilliance mixed with quite lazy play. I think Coach Cleary realises that our attack is limited and ...

Re: Kids Footy

My young bloke's U8 team is playing at the Chooks/Titans game at Gosford on Saturday and he is really looking forward to playing at a "real" football ground. A shame that they will be one player short yet again, but they have come along in leaps and bounds in the last couple of weeks, since getting ...

Re: Don't love the change at fullback

Played more like a 5/8th than Fullback last week in ISP...was his most dangerous when Gamble went for a H.I.A and he moved into the front line... No matter tho..he wont do much if our pack doesn't find it's mojo again.. For me Benji should be 'resting' with Lolohea @ 6 ..he went good there last yea...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Would you be happy with the capture of Mbye? Initially no. But at 500k p.a. For 3 years it’s a smart play. He’s 24 has time to grow under a good coach, fast and looks to have a good head on his shoulders. I thought we’d throw big money at an edge back rower as I can live with Thompson at fullback. ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Granville rumour is an interesting one. You would think if we had Granville that we would play him and Liddle. That would just about see the end of Benji Marshall i would say. I couldnt see Cleary signing Granville and then giving Benji another year. Unless of course its a state cup mentor thing li...

Re: Can Reynolds make a difference?

A lot of commentary around our losses lately are less about the defence and more about the attack. Both Benji and Brooks have seen their form fall away recently, not just with a forward pack that he been dominated a few times, but with their tactical kicking, team kick-chase and direct options / ru...

Re: Aaron Woods

Question is about "killing momentum" is that he makes more metres, takes more hitups and plays the ball faster than RCG. RCG makes 50cm more on average per charge; they make the same post-contact metres as per run. So the question is, if Woods really is that slow, where is he slow compared to RCG? ...

Put a couple of local club 16's or 18's on show beforehand and enable us to watch some real footy. Can't beat it.

Re: Naiqama > St Helens Rumour

If the Naiqama rumour about leaving is not true, then where is he? I understand the family funeral one week ago but what about this last weekend? Not listed as injured and not dropped to ISP. I understand the need for confidentiality sometimes but if there’s a simple reason it would be nice for the...

Re: You’re dropped!

That's a worry because it was the best forward pack we could put on the field. We never really got into that game. After the Merrin sin bin, it was all Penrith until half-time. We were absorbing the pressure well and got it to a point where we were going set for set. After half-time, we were murder...

I don't understand why everyone is dropping Taylor for

He isn't a 9 , not his fault he is playing the amount of minutes he is playing there

I thought he will play the 1st 20 , that's fine
Yeah, maybe twenty five, but when Merrin was marched, that for me was the time to bring him on.

Re: Good luck Chris

I took it that he pretty much had a verbal agreement with the club and cleary had to honour it? Cleary goes down in my estimations if he had a chance to pull the pin! I watched 4 State cup games this year and he looked ordinary. Time to lower the bar then, as McQueen also said that he was consideri...

Re: Second half interchange

I found it odd when they mentioned Liddle on so early after the break... Didn't realise there were two so soon. Does seem odd though I guess you have to start the 2nd half with who you finished the first with. Probably done with a view to the back end of the game? I dunno Was really hard to underst...

He was Taylor signing.

And a dud signing at that.
Yet the article and McQueen himself clearly states that he signed under and endorsed by Cleary.
