Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

Strangely I've never heard any real debate or explanation about the tax cuts. It seems a little odd given the noise about projected increasing costs of healthcare, ageing population etc. But when you scratch beneath the surface, it gets weird. From 2025, the tax cuts are massively skewed to benefit...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

Let me tell you fellas, my mate who barracks for Norths who once sold Craig Coleman half a loaf of bread and an oil filter for his HQ Kingswood reckons Farah will be the orange juice to our methylated spirits. Between his bouts of amateur bareknuckle boxing and trying to court one of Les Boyd's old...

Re: Politics Super Thread - keep it all in here

So after taking more than a decade to finally unshackle our economy from the structural deficit and majority of the subsequent national debt that Howard/Costello's previous cuts gave us, their equivalents have just forced through changes that are potentially more disastrous. Really hard to believe t...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

Unlike many, I don't mind BBF, but when it comes to his total infatuation with Farah and the crap that comes with it, well that is another matter. I don't want to "foe" anybody on here, as that may have me missing reasonable comment from them, so that is where moderation can help, by removing that w...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

Whatever really, I’m fine with it. The only negative about it will be the build up to Leichhardt next week. Will all be about one person, and the game itself will take a backseat. I’m sure after a couple of games the novelty will wear off, the same way it did for Marshall, especially if we aren’t w...

Re: Wests Tigers sign Robbie Farah for 2018 Official

Such a bad decision by the board, No one is buying tickets for the Leichhardt game Except every man and his dog is. It will be a sell out! Got my tickets already. Yahoooo I got mine as well. So have I, but has nothing to do with the signing/s, rather because of the very rare good kickoff time.

Re: Making your kids fans.

Indoctrination from birth onwards for my boy. Having moved north, we don't get to as many matches nowadays, so our seats are often left empty, but the good time slot of the two o'clock kickoff at Leichhardt next round is looking good. The increasing number of late afternoon and night matches are not...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Salary cap is limited. We dont need a winger. Oates is a great player but we have other priorities. We need a centre, a top class one. Definitely, with the idea to eventually move Marsters to 2nd row where he could solve another problem for us. Did you watch Esan in lower grades very lazy in own 50...

Re: Fonua requires surgery

Should insert a couple of 10mm thick stainless steel plates in his arms Trying stopping him then Or the Mal Meninga arm guard Yeah, that cannon barrel like sleeve was a joke as it become the biggest weapon in his football arsenal. No doubt that it improved his performance a lot more than providing ...

Are we still getting Brian Kelly next year?
Bloody well hope so, or at least some other true centre. We lost our two of our three proposed players for those positions and they badly need replacing.

Re: Working it out with our backs

Fonua has a broken arm, so there’ll be changes to personnel Might turn out to be a blessing and return some potency to the team with Kev at left centre. Sure, Mahe can make some good ground every now and then and barge over for the odd try, but I think we suffer as a team overall. I go further to s...

Re: Horror show..

I put that one on Cleary. It's been coming. He's the one insisting on Taylor at 9. It all starts from there. MM started at 9. Taylor went to 9 when MM got injured. We don't have an 80min no 9. Except the one that played the eighty a few hours earlier in ISP today, but yeah, the top grade is a diffe...

Re: Cleary: "That's not what we're about"

I was not a JT fan ,but his career was ruined by bringing Cleary on board, Cleary with the advantage of a blank cheque re recruitment, has not delivered For 12 months Cleary has been lauded over for doing something JT couldn’t do, attract players. Easy to do when you have an open chequebook and you...

Re: Forwards dominated

And to think Packer and Matulino were meant to be enforcers, we got better value out of Woods We were well on top when Mats was interchanged. I watched Mats closely today...he is deadset lazier than our worst signing Adam Blair Packer was the reason we got on the front foot early but his 2nd stint ...

Re: Tyson Gamble

A debut that certainly didn't set the world on fire, but was not that bad. Did not look out of place when we had reasonable control of the first quarter of the match and hopefully will have learnt a lesson or two from his latter poor choices.
