Re: Fitness

Lawrence has definitely gained a metre in pace. Just have a look at how quickly he got to Brooks' grubber to score. I also read somewhere that Reynolds posted a personal best sprint time in the preseason training.

I actually like Fitzgibbon. Plays tough and aggressive. Good for a couple of brain snaps tho.
So do I; he's one really good footballer, tough and his skills are developing nicely. He'd fit our culture perfectly but seems pretty happy at the Knights.

Re: This is Just the Beginning

Can anyone, including old Magpie and Tiger fans remember a time when the team had the best defense in the competition? The Magpies, under Roy Masters, were an intimidating side and they built their defence on it. They had their defensive systems but it was mainly based on making the opposition wary...

Re: Melbourne tactics....

Did anyone else notice how the Storm were hooking their legs around tacklers and attempting to get a quick play the ball so there would only be one marker? Maybe it was just me but, I noticed all throughout that first half that the Melbourne players were doing this to try and disadvantage the defen...

Next week Liddle will be 9 and Reynolds or Benji will be 14.
That's probably what will happen.
Yep but who makes way for ET?
MCK
I know someone will be dropped for ET but I can make a case for any of our forwards to hold their place.

Re: Liddle

The main thing he does is straighten the attack, directing the forwards up the middle of the field where we have most of our success in gaining metres. He's also very quick in his own right and those darts from dummy half put the opposition defence in two minds. I've said since I saw him in U20s tha...

Re: Go forward...

it was Liddle who straightened the attack when he came on and Josh Aloiai revelled in the " up the guts" style of attack. I believe that, without these two, we would have lost.

Almost every run was an absolute barnstormer. What really pleases me is that he had a fair few detractors when he first came here but he is maturing fast and will only get better.

Back to Mitch's defence, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned how Kev knocked him over the sideline on the way to scoring a try!

We need to win by more than 10 this week. Taking nothing away from Wests we also could quite easily have been 0 & 3. We need to start scoring points
1 will do me just fine.

Re: Brooks looking to one-up Moses in Tigers-Eels clash

Anyone else not feeling confident about this game? I don't like playing sides desperate for a win and that all the experts are writing off, missing players etc it's setting up for the perfect ambush. No. We will smash them. Yep, Im not After being at Campbelltown last week, I'm confident that this ...

Re: Eels Drama

Every team is closer to their next win every week! Not really..there are losses and draws that can be closer, thats the beauty of sport I toss a coin 5 times and I get 5 heads...the sixth toss is the same odds Tails will come up, as the first toss isnt it? That said, a team 0-3 to start a season wi...

Re: Eels Drama

Bad time to be playing them. Every week they fail, they a week closer to there next win, and they have the motivation by the truck load I honestly reckon that's nonsense, that a club who is on a losing streak are closer to a win. There are teams that finish last every year for a reason, and they do...

Re: Jack Bird

Who cares, who ever they roll out will be a very hard game. Not a bad time to get Brisbane especially after a tough battle with the Cowboys , Brisbane's forwards would have felt sore and sorry for a few days It would be worth seeing how many teams play the cowboys in the past 3 seasons and lose the...

Passion, skill and pace. We can't ask for more from him. I wonder where his extra pace has come from? Something over the pre season?
