Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

At the moment I'm sure the club is looking at this issue from all angles, including the legal situation of the various scenarios. Having sacked a coach 18 months ago and having to pay him out, to sack another coach would be a heavy financial burden if they had to pay him out plus pay another senior ...

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

by The fact that it is effecting our recruitment is a real issue b ecause at the end of the day it’s the quality of your roster that wins you matches more than who coaches your team. Our team will go backwards in 2019 without at least two more quality signings. You would also have to assume if CHN ...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

Yep, Jason Taylor if memory serves me correctly. And we still got to top up his contract for three years running forum myth Not a myth he sign a contract with the Tigers and Taylor did not want him The Tigers made up the rest of the money He was signed before Taylor got here but the signing would h...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

QLD Cowboys needed a clean out. None of them are worth a look at for WT. Unfortunately I can see the Tigers ending up with players like Linnet and Fensom .. :( X1 -3 Well, looks like the signing of Ryan Matterson has been forgotten already. OK everybody, lose those happy faces and get back down in ...

Re: Ivan Cleary - THREAD..

Are you at all surprised with the lack of values? Strong get stronger. I am still trying to think of another example of a club losing three above average Australian Schoolboy juniors in one off season. West’s lost 3 internationals to Manly, another international and a player who would play origin t...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

[Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary said he looked forward to working with Matterson. "Ryan is a talented young man and we're very pleased to have him join the club next season," said Cleary./b] Does that quote from Ivan kind of kill off Ryan’s rumour ? Ahhh yes, but did he say what club he was pl...

Re: Ryan Matterson

He was given permission to talk to other clubs. The Roosters pulled the pin! Im saying Taupau or TPJ is the reason the Roosters have let him go. That and the concussion risk. Good player unwanted by his current club = perfect signing. Let's be honest, we can second guess any signing. If they're you...

Re: What a mismatch

No effort tonight. Disgraceful. Rubbish! Plenty of effort. Just not good enough! You're kidding if you think we had a go tonight. I think we had a go but we played dumb football against a pack of monsters. We needed to run those big forwards around with short passing around the ruck but instead we ...

Re: Thanks Tigers!

Yes, we do need to turn the corner but we all knew that, when Cleary was appointed, we would be setting out on yet another rebuild. As far as rebuilds go, this one hasn't been too bad; we have been inconsistent but that's to be expected and we have managed to take some highly prized scalps this year...

He must be at least in the mid 90kg range. Only a brief look but seems strong enough for NRL.
Wiki says

Born
19 July 1996 (age 22)
Sydney, Australia
Height
1.91 m (6 ft 3 in)
Weight
88 kg (13 st 12 lb)
Yes but he looks heavier than 88kg.

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

A couple of things posted here, firstly that Liddle is injury prone. This is a term which is thrown around without any questioning of the logic behind it. People are neither injury prone, nor not injury prone; it is simply a matter of blind luck as to whether a player gets injured or doesn't get inj...

Re: WT heading towards financial sustainability?

The sooner the better that everybody including the media understand that the WestsTigers are not a joint venture they are owned by the West’s group that paid out 20 million to the Nrl to cover Balmains debt. IMO the club will never have its own identity until the realities of the situation is made ...

Re: WT heading towards financial sustainability?

As a (very) old Magpie, I can't agree that we should be called Wests Magpies. Both clubs agreed that it should be Wests Tigers and the situation is that Wests, a couple of years back, granted Balmain 25% of the club even though Balmain were broke and in debt to the NRL. If Balmain can't repay the NR...

Re: Signing Suggestions & Rumours THREAD..

There are some really good hookers on the market Segeyaro, Luke, Api and to a lesser extent Rein and Baptiste. The first 3 mean you lose Liddle as they are starters. Rein or Baptiste would be good as reserves if Liddle is the the answer. Question I have is - how long do you wait for liddle to come ...
